Asia Herb Association (Benchasiri) is perched on a picturesque hilltop overlooking 598-600 Sukhumvit Rd. Klongtoey, 10110, Thailand
Close to this place is the Benchasiri Park on Sukhumvit. This place was found on my way to the Emporium shopping center. This place provided a nice respite from the traffic and hustle and bustle of Bangkok. Nice water and green area!!!!!
Enjoyable massage in clean and modern rooms. Liked the fact that there isn’t anyone trying to up-sell products. You can definitely find plenty of other massage parlours for a lot cheaper but I’m happy to pay that bit extra for being able to unwind without having to hear the noise of Bangkok traffic or a semi clean room. We paid 600 baht each for a 1 hour Thai massage
Visited 3x, same outlet. Thumbs up to all frontline staff or therapists. Professional and friendly. Not sales tactics, no gimmicks. Place is very clean and pleasant. Definitely best outlet in Bangkok!
We went there for 3 hours package massage. It was physically relaxed but psychologically pressured. The senior therapist was served quite strictly (with a poker face) from beginning. We could not know where to get a pair of slippers until seeing other customers got served. She cannot explained us to keep dress off after shower, maybe because he didn’t speak English. Then my husband got embarrassed by taking off clothes in front of her. Besides, she asked spontaneously where did we put the other disposable underwear in a way like we took it. We answered that we had no idea, and felt uncomfortable about the ongoing enquire while we were nude. Episode stopped until another therapist found it in the room for her.My husband considered whether ask for another therapist, definitely a professional one next time. Hope she just too tired after working for whole day.
Went there after a full day shopping. Did our appointment earlier (they are always fully booked) everything was great. My masseuse is cha #37. She is very good. I slept off 10 minutes into the massage. Place are very clean.
Good offers, reasonable price and very relaxing! Nice and clean rooms. Especially enjoying the massage from Daeng 906. However I’m not sure why the staff need to have numbers, I feel that’s a bit weird and impersonal…
Worst massage experience I’ve been to in Thailand and elsewhere! Booked in advance an oil massage + herbal ball for 120mins. Everything was alright when we entered, from registering to having our welcome lemongrass tea drink. We then had to register ourselves using the iPad service and choose the type of pressure n spots to highlight, but all these were just for “show”. I chose medium pressure n highlighted foot sole n shoulders but the pressure was so light as if I was there for a massage oil application! Nothing was emphasised on my shoulders and feet soles too. The massage sequence were all done very unprofessionally, moving all over in one area without any sequencing. The first area was my back, it was simply applying massage oil and probably a few couple of minutes of pressing on my shoulder blades. There was no point telling her to add pressure as the massage was so unprofessionally done. Each side of massage was also done in different sequence and times. When it was on my arm and hand area, my pinky finger on my right hand wasn’t “snapped” at all! My arm was also left in an awkward position stretched out to the side after it was done, rather than placing back to my side. Masseur also doesn’t know how to cover properly my upper body when turning front/back… just left me “openly”!Herbal ball: nothing much, just a heated ball and pressed all over your body. Some areas can be too hot and masseur doesn’t even bother to ask if temperature was ok. When it was placed on my tummy area it was so hot that I have had to tell her. When changing the herbal ball, the masseur had to retrieve it from the toilet where the pot for steaming was kept. Everytime the toilet door was opened, the light shone directly at my face; there was no eye mask or whatsoever to cover my eyes. We were then ushered to the lobby waiting area for tea after we were done. There was another family of 3 adults and they also commented that the massage was like the masseur was “playing mahjong”. Totally a waste of time and money to try out the massage service here, was so looking forwad to it but was left utterly disappointed! Probably the masseur who served me was new and inexperienced, or just too tired after serving other customers before me. WILL NOT RETURN AGAIN ??
Will always go for a three-hour session when I’m in Bangkok. Body scrub, herb ball and Thai massage for about THB3,000. The masseuses are very professional and can customise their processes based on your preference. The rooms and toilets are very clean and well-maintained all these years. Certainly top of the mind for me.
So I got a bit of a cough due to the very strange weather over the last week when coincidentally the UN was in town to promote their climate change. Totally unusual for Bangkok and Thailand in the last 20 years there were gray skies and a fine mizzle – a mist like drizzle – on a couple of days. So I tried to find a Spa that could give me a steam session to sort out my lungs. Unfortunately a web search proved useless. So I did a walk about and just asked people. Soon I discovered that Asia Herb Association had a place next to the new Emsphere on Sukhumvit road. What a great place, lovely English speaking staff – mainly from the Philippines, and fantastic decor. The steam room was superb in a private suite with 2 showers, lounge and restroom. A great find and a great steam. Well worth it.
I travel to Bangkok 2-3 times a year for holiday and I visit AHA for massages every time when I am there, and never once I leave unsatisfactory. The place is spotlessly clean and very well-maintained. Even for a simple one-hour Thai massage you can get your own private room at the Benchasiri branch. From my experience over the past 5-6 years I can confidently say their service is consistently good and all their masseuse are well-trained and skillful. Booking is super easy and hassle-free too.
