  1. First off we were picked up by a late and surly driver and that is never a pleasant way to start a day. There appeared to have been a misunderstanding because I thought we had arranged a boat trip with just our group, but the minivan was stuffed with another large family group and another solo traveler. They all wound up taking the bus ride which was filled with almost unbearably loud music (we were seated next to the speakers in the back) to the docks where we were hustled and prodded like bovines through a chaotic parking lot. There we were brusquely ordered to wait until it was our turn to load onto the pink tuk tuk for the ride to the end of the pier. Upon disembarking we were whisked down a very rubbish filled pier and made to climb over dinghies to get to our boat. Now I was prepared for something less than a a yacht but what I wasn’t prepared for was a boat with only one tiny shaded cabin. The larger family group immediately filled this space leaving my group and our new solo traveler friend on the upper deck. This might have been fine except there was absolutely no shade above -not good on even a partially sunny day. The men on the boat with us could not communicate effectively in English and that was a pity as we quite enjoy interacting with new people and hearing stories from local perspectives. There were no snacks provided and we had to climb down the ladder everytime we needed to grab a water. The fishing set up was also a let down. I didn’t mind drawing cards for casting order but to be whistled to and yelled at seconds before you’re expected to scramble your way to your line…and if one secured a fish, they were given approximately 1 minute to snap an obligatory photo before said fish was tossed in the cooler and you were hurried from your position(it’s an all day trip). Lunch was basic and I’m told it was decent enough but I couldn’t say having been ill with motion sickness just prior. The motion sickness was prompted by making my way to the bottom of the boat to use the most unfriendly and unclean head I’ve experienced -not female friendly. While lunch was occurring we were allowed the sweet relief of escaping the boat for snorkelling. We dropped anchor just inside the inlet of Racha Yai -too distant from the beach to swim there or see any of the coral in shallower waters. I won’t say we didn’t see any fish but it was challenging considering that were we using some of the grubbiest and poorly maintained snorkel equipment out there(bring your own gear). On the return trip there was hours of line fishing(our group caught nothing, luck of the day) and it just seemed overly long. The trip probably should have been two hours less. We returned to the main pier followed everything in the same order and were hustled to the gift shop area where only one member of our group received her free photo -everyone else’s apparently lost. Our driver was also very displeased that our group all took the time to pay 5 baht to use the restroom before craving ourselves back into the minivan for our hotel return. All in all it just wasn’t fun and that’s what a holiday should be.

  2. We booked 3 trips with these guys and they were excellent, very friendly , great english and informative. Even changed our trip last minute as my wife was ill. Would defintely reccomend them just as good as your tour operator and allot cheaper.

  3. If you plan on doing any type of activity in Phuket Woody and his team are surely the best people to go to. They arranged our trip to Phi Phi Don Island, Monkey temple (cave) as well as other activities such as quad biking, Zip wiring and Water rafting. The team at Siam power tours all speak a good level of English and always in my opinion have the best prices compared to other tour operators..Will definatley be using thier services in the future as all my trils have ran really smoothly…and will be recommending them to all friends and family that visit Phuket a great big thank you guys…keep up the good work..Thanks Again….Eshwin

  4. We are very happy and enjoy with the driver and tour arrange by Wooddy and his team. We went phuket for a week and book his car and tours for 4 days. We really enjoy its. Wooddy is a responsibility person to help us plan before I reach to Phuket. May book them if I come again.

  5. My husband and I have been coming to Phuket for years, 20 years. We come every year. We have used this company time and time again, their tours, their bike rental. Harrid, Bangten, and Woody has become our friends. They have been helping us tremendously. Our family and friends used their services as well and they are happy with it. I recommend strongly. And we will continue to use their services.

  6. I can tell that overall i was very impress to this tour company, the staff are friendly , warm and honest ..all the detailed was liable the way they explained to you . My first trip was in Phi phi Island it was awesome and the weather was perfect! I got a lot of sunburn ( to be mentioned hahaahah!!!! The second trip was Racha Island , its a WOW place …. I Love it very much! Then i forgot my small bag in the boat “im so stupid not to see it that i lost it …Then after we arrived in the hotel the next day i went back to Siam Power tour to ask some help and they help me with out any cost… I feel like im safe when i book the trip to them , it was a very casual to Thai Poeple to help each other and i was feel this to them…. Thank you to the very funny and kind guy in the tour desk Kuron!I’ll see next holiday! The best recommendation ever! your the best !

  7. Siam Power Tour was recommended to me by my cousin who had visited months prior and I would like to give them a big thank you for providing us with a beyond exceptional, customer friendly experience. Woody our tour operator was very helpful and has a lot of knowledge of the area. We ended up buying a few packages from him and he also helped organise day trips for us that he does not even sell. They offer excellent prices compared to what our Villa manager was offering us. Thank you once again for making our trip a pleasant one. We will definitely be using you again and recommending to friends and family.

  8. We booked 2 tours with this comoany. The first tour was to Pang Nga Bay, James Bond island, Muslim village and then our last stop was at an island and beach where tourist could enjoy water sports. The last stop was highly unnecessary. It was very commercial with a lot of people coming over at the moment you put your feet in the sand wanting to sell you drinks, ice cream or watersport activities. The beach is nice but a lot of tourists and only a few small areas dedicated for swimming. Overall the trip to bond island and Muslim village is recommended. Well organized, easy to understand English and our tour guide event took us for a private tour around the Muslim village. The lunch at Muslim village was better than expected. The last stop should be taken off the program. Our second trip was to Raya island and coral island. It a started with our pick up. We got told to be ready by 7 am in the morning, our pick up came 30 minutes later. Then we had to drive around other hotels and pick up guests, we had to go in to phuket so a trip that would take 45 minutes took 1.5hrs. They should really organize the pick up better. Raya island is not worth seeing. We were recommended not to go snorkelling because we had 2 small kids and they said it was to big waves. We talked to people after that went snorkelling and they said that there wasn’t any waves. Kind of have the feeling that they recommended us not to go because it was gonna be easier for them if the least amount of people went snorkelling. The tour guide event told my husband afterwards that we should be glad we didn’t go because of the waves, he was literally lying because the other people told us differently. The lunch that is included at Rays was the worst lunch we’ve had during our 2 week holiday in Thailand. Coral island on the other hand has a beautiful beach and worth seeing. The snorkelling is ok, you can see some nice fish but more than that. On our way back to the hotel the transport was as bad as in the morning. Took us 1.5 hrs. The car even stopped for 5-10 minutes along the road in order to pick up some brochures etc.

  9. Was shopping around for tours and he was the only one that came up with a realistic price straight up. All the others started very high then told you how much of a special deal they were going to give you but still came in higher than his starting price.Would use again as found them very easy to deal with.

  10. We are family of 4 and first time in Phuket. Wooddy, the travel agent was very friendly and knowledgeable. He helped us booking three tours and we enjoyed everyone of them. He gave us special prices for those tours and made sure that everything was looked after properly. We loved his service.I will definitely visit him again if i have another trip to Phuket.
