Koh Lipe Star Travel is perched on a picturesque hilltop overlooking 91000, Thailand
I booked a snorkeling trip with these guys and had the best snorkeling experience of my life. They provided a terrific days outing and their dive master took about 500 photos above and below water. I’d anticipated being charged an extra fee for the photos but they kindly sent them all to me free of charge.
Bought program H, 10:30 am – 6:30 pm, 5 snorkeling spots plus 4 beach/photo stops. It was an intense and awesome experience! Worth every pennyBest thing for me were the coral gardens! The ecosystem looked healthy and thriving. Also plenty of fish.The tour guide was punctual, energetic and very funny & he took photos of us and the fish with good quality camera for free!! The company cooked a vegetarian lunch for me; they provided water and fruit as well for afternoon snack.Couldn’t be happier. I would recommend this to any of my friends!

We booked a transfer from Koh Lipe to Khao Sok. The guy at the Star Travel itself was nice. They told us that we would leave at 0930 AM with the boat (which was true), and would arrive at 1800 PM. Instead, we arrived at 2030 PM because of the horrible mini van drivers. The first one was very rude and was only nice to us after we told him to act normal after he dropped our stuff and walked away without any explanation (we arrived by 1600 PM in Krabi). The second driver told us it would take 5 (!!!) hours to Khao Sok. When we asked him why, he said he had to go to Khao Lak first. In the mean time he stopped everywhere to drop people, pick people up, drop different packages. He was not nice at all when we asked for a food stop around 1900 PM. He actually did not stop until 2000 PM. Besides that, during the trip we had to wait for almost half an hour because the police stopped the van and something was wrong with his documents. No explanation was given or anything… never had such an experience before in Thailand.
Wonderful snorkelling trip. The fish and the colours under the surface of the turquoise waves is literally another world. Best day out we’ve had on this beautiful island and the staff are lovely too!
A rough day at sea. Enjoyed the snorkeling and saw some nice fish. A heads up about the monkeys at the lunch spot would have been nice. The monkeys are aggressive and tried to steel my lunch by jumping on me. I saw a poor fellow lose his lunch after my encounter. A word to the wise, stay away from the tree line when eating. I wish there was more interaction with the guide. It would have been nice to learn something about the National Park and the stops we visited.
