We had an outstanding experience with Nattapat and Rong. They were very professional and attentive. Their passion was noticed in different ways such as giving 101% in doing everything, being, generous, patient, helpful etc. 5 days have passed and we already miss both the guide Nattapat and Rong. It seems they have grown attached to us a bit. We felt really comfortable whilst being on tour and many useful information was given us. Thank you so much guys. We arranged a day trip in Bangkok with our hotel concierge at the Grand Hyatt Erawan. We asked this hotel to provide us with a quality, vetted tour company. The four of us, visiting Bangkok only two days, are all 69 years old. The tour guide met us in the lobby of the hotel at the appointed time. While the guide seemed to have an educated level of English, her pronunciations were difficult to understand. We are experienced travelers, and we were not surprised at this problem.Two things happened during the tour however that gave us grave concerns.1. The guide had strong negative opinions about the Thai royal family along with the government. In most countries expressing views like this can just be ignored. However in Thailand, there are laws (Lèse-majesté) that can and do result in people being jailed for attacking the royal family. The comments by this guide were unwarranted and continued despite our suggestions that they were not helpful to our visit.2. Part of the day included a longboat tour of canals on one side of the Chao Praya river. When we were loaded into the boat, it was at a protected dock that was staffed with people to assist us in getting into the boat. However when we arrived at the end of the boat trip (Wat Arun), getting off the boat became extremely dangerous. Two of us fell hard on the concrete dock (where there was no assistance) and one of our party almost ended up in the river!Management at the Grand Hyatt Erawan were informed of the problems with their recommended tour company. They seemed to indicate that the company had not been “vetted” in some time (since before the Covid-19 pandemic) and promised to contact the owner, Mr. Montree. To date we have not heard from him to explain the issues that we’ve raised.
