Thai Bus Food Tour is perched on a picturesque hilltop overlooking 10100, Thailand
Two out of three of us took a Thai Bus Food Tour for the first time last night and it was beyond our expectations in several ways. First, the dishes on the menu were selected from the most popular restaurants/street food shops with nice presentations. An explanation from its tour guide heightened our appreciation of the meal. Second, I liked the way they planned for the main course which was ‘Pad Thai’ from Thipsamai (a restaurant listed on the Michelin Guide). A bus staff went to the restaurant to pick up ready-to-serve noodles for us to have. It gave us a great feeling of freshly cooked food to add to the perfect taste. Third, we could enjoy bright Bangkok’s attractions at night. This one-and-a-half hour ride brought back memories of our younger days. Lastly, traffic later in the evening was much lighter! So, it’s highly recommended even for Thais.
Booked the dinner tour on the Thai Bus Food Tour as an alternative to walking around the old city as well as queuing for the Michelin dishes in the different restaurants. Although the price of the tour was a bit high (1,890 baht per person), we felt that it was a good purchase. The bus was comfortable and the upper deck seating afforded a good view of the various attraction. The tour guide also gave a good commentary, not only for the temples and buildings, but also for the food being served. The menu was excellent, from the appetizers (rice cracker and crispy shallots and shrimps), pepper noodle soup with crispy pork, chicken curry, pad thai, sticky rice with mango. Three of these dishes were MIchelin star dishes! We were so full! Will recommend this tour to our friends.
We really enjoyed the tour and warm hospitality of crew. The Thai vegfood was good and coffee was happy end to the city tour. The guide was excellent on the Mike and the interior was pleasing. State of the art bus was punctual. May they can add more desserts like various flavors of icecream. Thanks.Nimish Blue Spice Holidays
Can’t miss. Very interesting and wonderful dining on the bus. A way to see Bangkok as sightseeing in 90 minutes
This 90 minutes night tour (actually, there were many options but we chose night trip) was amazing. As the bus cruised around the old quarter of Bangkok, passing through some significant landmarks including China town, the giant swing, the golden mount, the democracy monument, grand palace and beautiful temples, we enjoyed a dining course which were delicately selected from many famous local restaurants on our path (without queueing). Tour guide also provided interesting informations about the attractions we passed and the dishes we ate. Lovely!
Good activity for food lover, friends (group of 2-4), raining day in Bangkok. The activity is combination of window sightseeing, Michelin Bib tasting menu and relaxation. Most of the dishes are famous for local people; PadThai, Yentafo, Mango Sticky rice etc. However, Chicken Massaman is too sweet.
A great journey with great food on board, come with english speaking tour guide and waiting area. Night view is nice.
My friend and I are in Bangkok and decided to do this tour today. We both had such a nice time sipping tea, eating snacks and seeing parts of the city. The coach was comfortable, the air conditioner kept us perfectly cool and the tour guide had a soothing voice and was knowledgeable. We will likely book the lunch tour before leaving.
This is a fun way of going around Bangkok – sightseeing and eating at the same time, in the comfort of an air-conditioned bus. A must-try!
This trip was truly unforgettable. Our tour guide was incredibly friendly, giving us insightful information about each scenic spot and its history along the way, which helped us appreciate the places we visited on a deeper level. Even though the temperature outside was around 100°F, we were comfortable on the air-conditioned bus, enjoying beautiful views along the route. One of the highlights was being able to try local delicacies, arranged by the guide. We could enjoy the delicious food right on the bus without having to wait in line at a restaurant, which saved us time and felt really thoughtful. This unique experience made the journey even more enjoyable and relaxing, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the charm of the local culture.
I did the lunch tour which is perfect for people who’ve already visited the main attractions and want a different, upmarket food-focused experience. Every dish was excellent – even the ones from non-Michelin-recommended spots. It’s way more convenient and economical than visiting each restaurant individually, and probably a more peaceful and relaxed dining experience, too. The spacious and comfortable bus made the journey relaxing, and the attentive staff and informative guide added to the experience. It exceeded my expectations.
