Hi We three friends played 18 holes on this course. On initial holes of A course the greens were slow. The C course greens were fast and as expected. Strange thing was that we started on A course and after 6 holes we played C course then back to A course then back to C course. Two caddies were very good and one was new. The course facilities were ok. Changing rooms were clean towels were provided.
Long way out of town about 35 mins by car but worth it. The course is in good condition and there r lots of holes with water obstacles. Used golfsavers to book highly recommended. The course also has a driving range. Also the course was not busy maybe because it is out of town.
I played this course for the first time. It’s not easy as there are some difficult water hinders but it is beautiful. I got a really nice caddie and also tips from another person. The course is really friendly. Included in the fee is a lighter lunch inclusive something to drink. From 1 pm the greenfee is 1500 B, included in the fee is a lighter lunch inclusive something to drink.
The renovated Pro Shop, Restaurant, shoe cleaning areas are a great improvement..very classy… The staff are so helpful, especially TELAK who has been there for many years. The caddies are all excellent and a great asset to the course…looking forward to another visit.
A very decent and challenging course with helpful caddies. This is a great course surrounded by wonderful scenery and intimidating water hazards to concern all levels of players. The greens are slow but acceptable, the fairways narrow and long and the tee boxes level and tended. The food offerings in the restaurant that shares the magnificent views are decent and reasonably well priced. The miserable faced staff in the shop really do detract from a good day. The spectacled lady there should consider the terrible and very disinterested way she looks at other women in the shop and perhaps ponder that people are there spending money – its her job to receive payment with a good attitude rather than display a completely disrespectful manner that make customers feel unwelcome.Management please take note.
Now operating a duel pricing policy – one price for Thai’s and one much higher price for all foreigners.Appalling disrespectful and rude attitude from the person answering the telephone.
My (Thai) wife called in advance and was quoted a reasonable package all included. We arrived next morning, and while I parked the car, wife went to pay. She called and said I needed to bring my Thai National ID. Oh boy I thought, one of these dual price places.I have lived in Thailand for 50 years, speak the language fluently, and obtained my Thai Nationality and Thai passport many years ago. The greenfee lady cashier however, insisted that I pay the foreign rate, as irregardless of my Thai ID, I was still “Foreign looking” or I could sit and wait till afternoon when prices for foreigners dropped. I am in no mood to visit again.
Course was in fantastic condition after recent rains, but one quibble: when I was last there a few years ago the men’s change rooms were being renovated. I have no idea what they spent the money on, because there is virtually no improvement. Smelled like a teenager’s footlocker, half the soap dispensers were either broken or empty.
This is an old tired golf course presented in really poor condition. Bumpy tees, spotty & rough fairways and poor greens are best suited to a beginner or social player. The worst presented course in Hua Hin is not worth the taxi fare. Avoid this place
We played the course 5 times during our stay. We enjoyed playing it and even though it is not the best course in Hua Hin then it rank up there with the “second/third best courses”The last 3 times we managed to get some great caddies (pre booked) and even though their languages skills could be better we got the help needed. We will recommend you give this course a try.My ranking of the courses in Hua Hin is as follows (3-6 are very close)1) Banyan/ Black Mountain 3-6) Palm Hills/ Springfield Majestic Creek/ Lake View 7) Royal Hua Hin8) Sea Pine The last two you don’t need to play.
