10 thoughts on “Thai Blind Massage Institute

  1. TBMI to us is an institution o Jomtien that we never miss. We attend heere every 2nd day when in Jomtien andd have done so for many many yeears.New massuers this year, with a slightly different technique than the older guys.I would like to compliment “Jack” for the best massage I have ever had in Thailandd over the past 20 years

  2. Very professional massage made by blind people in a relaxing atmosphere. Also nice to enjoy in “after massage tea” in the patio.

  3. I always have massage here when I visit Pattaya. Always experience a good and refreshing massage. Tell the receptionist your problem and she will suggest some suitable guy. Good luck and enjoy

  4. If you get the right one then they can fix issues you have had for years. And some you didn’t know you had. I have 2 hours to give them time to find and fix all the problems. I have been going there for over 10 years and all is good and 360 baht for 2 hours is hard to beat

  5. Knowing what the place is and what it does and how it employs the blind folks to employment it’s very hard to honest about the reality of this place but I shall. From the moment you walk into the reception the staff are not very friendly or welcoming. I had a thai 1 hour dry massage. I was led into a room which had 4 customers in there having there massages. Note not all the staff are blind. The staff that did my massage was rude, making fun of me, the masseuses were talking and I could tell they were making fun of my weight (I have an average chunky European body) the massage itself was very painful and it was difficult to tell her even though at the reception I did say to them I want a medium pressure massage. Would I recommend this place NO! Even though it’s a great idea they have GOOD practices that they need to implement into this place before it can become a place worth going to!

  6. I never expected so good massage by blind man. Very good massage. I tried oil massage first and later Thai massage as well.

  7. Totally terrific 2hr Thai massage. Be prepared to either wear your undies or street clothes (your choice). Very large Russian contingent of customers. Some of the masseuse were even speaking Russian with their clients. Environment is not fancy. The price is right and the massages very good.

  8. Frindly staff, prices for different massages were good and the massages I had each time were brilliant and adjusted to my knee and hip problems

  9. I have owned a condo nearby, across the street, from TBMI for 17 years. I used TBMI from the beginning, but never submitted a review, as I was not a tourist. Nevertheless, my opinion as a ‘Local” is that, having visited every massage shop in the ara, there is no contest with this shop. For example, It has all the isolation from bar and street noise, Thai hospitality and ambiance, and employee (staff) courtesy that draws tourists from around the world. One does not want to admit that the costs are penury, and even less expensive than others who have vision, but at 250 baht for an hour’s full-body oil massage, under the experienced and talented hands of the massuses–and often customers do not tip–it is a gift from their Buddha. Since the lock-downs of the pandemic have been lifted, and the flood of tourists have returnd, it is almost impossible to get favorite staff without an appointment, sometimes weeks in advance. So I am drawn to the Internet to make mine!

  10. This is a well known massage venue that features visually impaired masseuses. The rooms vary in size from one bed in single room to many floor mattresses in larger rooms. Reservations for popular staff are recommended, but “drop in” guests will find several available. All staff speak English well, are courtious, and responsive to individual massage needs. This reviewer has had massages in shops from one end of Pattaya to Jomtien, but once he discovered the TMBI, in the Jomtien Complex, he has remained a steady client. Moreover, it is across the busy street from the condo in which he has lived for 18 years.
