Scooters Bar Soi Buakhao is perched on a picturesque hilltop overlooking Soi Buakhao, Thailand
I visited this bar in late 2019 and the bar on itself is nice enough to look at and so is the staff. But I was bit surprised the Farang manager owner is so ill mannered and impolite.After ordering a Whiskey I asked him if he was sure the Whiskey was real he threatened to have me kicked out of the bar and became very aggressive. My advice stay away, visit one of the NWG bars instead. They will treat you like the King you are and you know for sure you won’t be drinking counterfeit alcohol there.
It is B55 before 6 p.m. B65 before 7 p.m. But not always. I asked the price of a drink and was told B80, way more than bars nearby. However how much would it have been if I had not asked? The bar maid said BYEE in a nasty way when I refused. Another time I asked the price and they could not answer, or would not.Seems to me they want the mugs to sit down, have the drink and then they can overcharge them.It is a good bar but if they continue this dedication to crude scamming they will not have many customers. Most times it is empty.
Bar was nice played some great music, drinks were a great price. Service from bar staff was good fast delivery of drinks to the table.
I went in expecting the same lady drink hustlers who never go out and having to count my change.However, the drink hustlers have run out of mugs to scam, due, I think to reviews, and men smartening up. The girls have changed, and the drafts are B65 all night – no more happy hour finishing at 7 p.m. Still I was determined not to tip to punish them for the past. But when paying, the waitress pointed out that a B100 note I offered was in fact a B1000! I tipped her B50. lol
Nice looking bar and they do play a lot of great music from the 60,s thru to 2000, but the serving on staff who think they belong on the pay roll of Victoria’s secret let this place down!!! Cheer up for goodness sake!!!! It’s not all about getting a drink bought for you!! Just be pleasant and nice!! And as for the bar staff…..well let’s not go there…abysmal!

They are very very cheap. It’s 95 and humid and they refused to turn on the air conditioners at 4pm. Ridiculous. I asked 4 different people and they all said no boss won’t allow yet. So cheap and terrible service. Don’t waste your time or money on these people n
Sangsom whisky with coke is always devoid of bubbles and tasted watered down. A quick peer over the bar revealed the ice floating in water in the receptacle and the barman using a scoop to dip in and grab your tube ice with up to a cup of water included which leaves about 5mm of space to top up the glass with your desired mixer. Boy did they hate us for pointing out this horrible practice. Finally we convinced the staff to decant the water down the sink so that we would only get the liquor on ice with lots of room for fizzy coke. I’ll post their pics so you can watch out for them. Won’t be back!
This place is awesome. Lots of cool memorabilia of the Mods and Rockers from the day. Great music from Quadrophenia. Great staff. English owner. Top bloke. Drinks are good value. I totally recommend.
