I rode it twice, two consequtive days. That says a lot. Truly enjoyable train ride, like comeback to the past. I loved it. Scenery, train, local people, cute station, surroundings, shops, post office… return ride after 1.5 hour. Wonderful!
I think we all enjoyed a train journey when we were children and now I am older I still chose train travel in preference to air as time no longer matters.Thailand is full of well presented stations with staff in full uniform but this one only has one train a day, it’s the end of the line.Well worth a look, lovingly preserved and interesting items, check out the locomotive turntable made in the UK over a hundred years ago.
There are many things here to take pictures of. There are many souvenirs to buy. Highly recommended to visit in the Trang province.
This quaint historical railway station was once a bustling stop for commerce in Kantong. The museum has some interesting photos and artifacts. Staff are friendly and more than willing to share stories of this icon.
