  1. It was a fantastic visit! We tasted the best food there is in Phuket, and we were accompanied by the best tour guide.Adam knows the food, the land and the people, and their history. He likes to share what he knows, and to make the visit more and more interesting.I suggest you to choose this team for your tour !!

  2. In making our selection of food tour guides, we looked at the reviews on this site. Unfortunately, we had a poor experience. It started so well with Teddy being spot on time to pick us up. The taxi he used was unfortunately driven by a young, aggressive driver. Regrettably, “taking a very small gap” and accelerating, he found a virtually stationary motor cycle and could not stop in time. Fortunately the motorcyclist was ok. A friend was enlisted to help out and she was great. We started with Dimsum that was ok but was virtually only pork. This was followed by noodles that were so so though the spicy broth was tasty. We then got entangled with the annual procession of the Gods with much loud noise from exploding firecrackers. A hole in the wall dished up cold, watery Massaman curry with a single drumstick with rice only after we asked for some. Very, very disappointing.More firecrackers and people with skewers and small swords pushed right through their cheeks followed before an excellent braised pork. This was the highlight. Finally, back into the procession walking past many, many vegetarian food stalls. Here we tried several desserts including sweet spring rolls (neither my wife not I liked them), a sesame seed covered sweet bun – yummy, and a steamed bun with sweet green jelly – nice but too sweet for me.We finished off at the Phuket view site and a mango fritter. Very nice. Cold coffee put a damper on the whole show. By now we had had enough and just wanted to get back to our hotel. Needless to say, we missed the turn off to Kata Beach, took a short cut, got lost and finally got back.We are old enough to understand that sometimes things go wrong and that this could have thrown out guide. However, he frequently left us sitting and waiting, did not ask us if we had any preferences with the Dimsum for example, and generally struggled to understand English. Overall, given that we paid Bht 8000 (USD250+) for the day, it is by far the worst food tour we have been on internationally. I would not recommend this tour.

  3. Our tour guide Adam is a great tour guide, he introduces great food and nice places to visit in Phuket, he is friendly and kind to us. Thank you Adam.

  4. We were visiting Phuket for the afternoon and evening, off a cruise ship and had no interest in any of the tour options offered by the cruise. I booked Phuket Food Tours several weeks before leaving Australia having agreed that they would modify their “private Phuket Night Food Tour”, to suit our availability. We still had the same amount of time available but simply needed to start and finish earlier tan the standard tour. Our guide, Adam and the driver arrived exactly on time, the vehicle was clean and well driven and both gentlemen we enjoyable to spend time with. However, this was not the best fo tour that we have done, for a number of reasons. I appreciate that where our ship docked was at the opposite end of the Island to where most tourist stay, so we had a bit of a drive to get to our first restaurant. Unfortunately we then seemed to spend much of the rest of the afternoon driving, more that eating. We were also taken to jewellery “outlet store” which had nothing to do with a food tour and everything to do with kick-backs and we refused to go in. If we had wanted to do a shopping tour, we would have done so.Wee da walk through Old Phuket Town and visited the Chillva night market and back to the ship. After our tour we received an email from the company with some photos that Adam had taken. The email encouraged us to leave a 5 Start report on Trip Advisor as “4 stars and lower could hurt our Trip Advisor ranking”. Not exactly the true spirit of unbiased reviewing that makes TA so valuable.Adam was great, but the limited food visits, the jewellery con and then the instruction re TA results in 3 stars, it would otherwise have been a solid 4.

  5. Adam and his driver picked us up in Patong Beach and took us to the other side of the island for a morning food tour of Phuket town. On the way, Adam filled us in on many aspects of Thai history, culture, and cuisine. We asked lots of questions and Adam had lots of answers. We stopped for dim sum (yes, for breakfast!), rice noodle/curry, and roti, all unique experiences and off the tourist track. We took a food break and visited a temple and a farmers’ market, and walked the old part of town with its distinctive Portuguese architecture. I asked where I could buy a wooden pestle for my own Thai cooking at home and Adam found a small shop with just the right thing—never any pressure to shop and buy. We then went to an upscale restaurant for a small (thankfully) lunch and pandan-wrapped steamed desserts that were beautiful in presentation and delicious. Our final food stop was an outdoor market for spring rolls—quite good but we were so full we could not finish. The final stop of the day was up to the hill above town with nice view of Phuket town and surrounding area. We enjoyed our tour tremendously.

  6. Adam was our guide- he was amazing. Friendly knowledgable and fun. The best part is going to authentic place we would never have ventured to. Had the most amazing crab curry, pad Thai, barracuda. And if you go on a Sunday night tour you get the night market – a must see and do experience. Hundreds of food stalls with amazing options, (hundreds of people as well). Music, food, people and crafts. Highly recommend this tour.

  7. What really made this tour for us was Adam, our guide. He is passionate about food and this was reflected in the restaurants he chose to take us to. We went to places we would never have found on our own and tried some really diverse Thai food, all of which were memorable and delicious. Try to go on a Sunday evening if you can as it includes a visit to the night market which has hundreds of food and craft stalls and a brilliant atmosphere. After the tour, Adam shared some of the recipes we had eaten so that we can prepare them at home. Highly recommended,

  8. Adam was the perfect guide, very knowledgable and informative, he picked us up ontime righ at 4pm, he took us to some places we would not have looked at where the food was amazing and freshly cooked!Adifference from th normal Hotel food, then a trip to Old Phuket Town for walk and look at the Sino Portuguese architecture then on to the amazing CHILVA night market, where we saw more of the local Thai dishes that simply looked amazing!!Well worth the trip and great value for money.

  9. My parents and I LOVED the Phuket food tour! Our tour guide Adam was great at telling us about Phuket and the food we ate. He sent us recipes of everything we ate, and we went to four different restaurants and had amazing authentic Thai food at every one.
