We bought our tickets online through the official homepage, which is something I’d definitely recommend. That way we could totally skip the main queue inside the building and could head straight through. We had to store our bags downstairs, which is free, and also you’re not allowed to use any tripods up there. I was allowed to bring my DSLR camera with me and also use my Gimbal, but I asked the team beforehand through their social media and confirmed the use of the Gimbal right then and there. Then we passed an area where you could get some photos taken before we headed to the lift. It takes you up incredibly quickly and then you step onto the first area (The 74th floor) – this part is completely inside with a windowfront allowing breathtaking views over Bangkok. From here you take an escalator up to another area, from where you can either walk up or take another lift to the top floor. And that part truly is stunning! There’s a bar, a glass floor and an even higher area with seats. The main highlight of the King Power Mahanakhon Sky Walk is undoubtedly the awe-inspiring 360-degree panoramic views it offers of the sprawling city below. The glass-floored observation deck provides a unique perspective, allowing brave souls to step onto the transparent floor and feel the cityscape beneath their feet. You have to wear shoe protection and you’re not allowed to bring your phone or camera onto the glass floor. So, if you want photos of you on there, you need someone to stand behind the line and take them.We headed there for the sunset and this was the best decision ever – Bangkok is just truly stunning from above!
My husband and I went here shortly after landing and checking into our hotel as we still had some daylight. DO purchase your tickets online in advance! We took a Tuk Tuk here, then a Grab back to our hotel. The aquarium is nicely laid out so that you follow the path from the entrance to the exit, which made it nice. You can certainly stop in various places to sit and stare at the exhibits in front of you. They have a Saw Shark on display, which was pretty incredible to see and the main reason why I came here in the first place. You can pay to feed some of the marine life in a couple of spots also. This is a good place to go even if you don’t have children. It’s also not an overwhelming size of an aquarium either, so you don’t leave feeling like it was “too much” or that you didn’t get to do everything.
My hotel was close to this skywalk, so it was easy for me to walk over here and purchase tickets at the front desk. My husband and I really enjoyed the scenery from above, and had a good beer on the deck as well. Nice spot to hang out for a bit, and you can go at your own pace while you are there. I think we spent about 90 minutes there in total just enjoying beers this high up in the city. Definitely bring sunscreen with you and a small umbrella as the deck has NO shade.
Lovely night, we were lucky with the weather. Views stunning, food was delicious but actually didn’t try everything as it was a little confusing with the set up being – a little here, an a little there. So we really didn’t stray far but the food was really, really good, catering to all taste buds. Staff were attentive & friendly & the you honestly couldn’t tell you were on a little, it was that smooth – very enjoyable & yes defiantly worth doing
Booked a Tour for me and a Friend for ziplining. All good until we arrived then I was told 100KG is to heavy for ziplining. Well with todays harnesses thats hard to believe . in any case we could not do trip so went back. Complained with Viator where we booked the Trip though They said ask for refund . From US$186 paid i received back US 111. Basically US$75 for the Taxi ? or what. Nowhere was there a mention of weight restrictions, so not my fault. Ok I am willing to pay US$30 for the taxi ride but 40% of the Tour cost ?Lucrative Business opportunity if explored. Well i will never book with Viator or Thai Holidays ever again.
