During my one year stay at Koh Phangan this was my top “cultural” place on the island to visit regularly. Amazing mix of people, live music, great atmosphere. It has definitely filled up the “cultural and artistic” gap which I felt while being far from Europe. And Robert – the owner – makes it with his full heart!

I liked Koh Phangan island. Then a friend took me to “Jam Bar”. Then I fell in love with Koh Phangan. And to me this place is the heart of the island. I met one of the most wonderful people in my life here, I was looking forward to every jam evening and I knew that whether I feel good or bad, I will meet friendly faces, have interesting conversations, dance till I drop dead and will head back to my house with a big silly smile. Amazing place, amazing music, amazing people.

We come to the island every year and the jam bar is always on our list of regular haunts. The music and people are always varied, something for everyone young and old. Well mixed drinks at reasonable prices. Great food and free entertainment. And there is always a place on stage if you fancy yourself a jam. Every year at the jam we make new friends, a real social hub on the island.
We really enjoyed the evening here! Any musician can join. Surprisingly talented people step on the stage.

The Bar is for people to get up and sing, play an instrument, or do both. Its run by Robery, who can really sing. You wonder why the performets are not super famous because they are that good. Its a stage and a. Tiny bar set up. In the jungle, off the Hinkong Rd. on Koh Phangan. You get a great crowd there.
Incredibly talented musicians come together for spontaneous performance. Great crowd, good drinks and incredible sourdough pizza from a food truck. All under the stars and coconut trees. Unforgettable night! The best of our time on the otherwise chill island. A must!
Such a wonderful and wholesome place filled with a variety of people. All the seating is outdoors, which isn’t a problem for the non-rainy season. The stage is cozy but good quality and the performers are mostly locals and traveling musicians. You can definitely ask to play or sing and even join in with other bands. I HIGHLY SUGGEST GOING TO ZEN BEACH FIRST. Going to zen beach and joining a music circle there is usually the best way to meet there local musicians there first. They’re all really nice and open to new connections with people there. You can travel from Zen Beach to Jam Bar easily. This is a must visit if you’re in Koh Phangan.
