  1. I went with 4 friends on a day tour with 3 snorkeling spots on Koh Rok and Koh Haa. We were picked up in a van and taken to the beach where we boarded the boat. The snorkeling spots were great, so much to see, and we were given ample time, though not too much, in each. One was a bit crowded so the driver took us to another location which was much appreciated. Lunch was amazing and more than enough food. The break was long enough to allow us to do a nature trail to an amazing lookout point, though many stayed and swam on the beautiful beach.

  2. Staff on boat were really friendly and helpful and all the places we went to had very clear water – so there was some good snorkelling. We had decent vegetarian lunch. We sat outside (no room inside boat when we got on), which was fine. It was choppy on the way out – but not so much on way back. Wasn’t so impressed by the Emerald caves. Just felt like swimming through a dark cave. There were loads of jellyfish – though the sting didn’t really hurt us at all (just a little prick). Most places were very crowded – especially where we stopped for lunch and the islands were quite similar.

  3. On 26 December, COVID had wrecked tourist numbers on Ko Lanta, so snokelling companies are not usually able to fill a boat. To get round this, scuba/snokel companies on the island combine customers and go with one boat. This worked out well with a snorkel trip of about 15 people going every day. Boat was newish, in good repair, and tidy. Staff were pleasant but could not speak English. The breifing at the start of each snorkel, 3 in total on my trip, was only in Thai. Usually not a problem. There was a bucket of masks and snorkels, and these were passed out. I wss suprised there were no flippers available, but hey, this is Thailand. A few of the Thai customers had flippers, I assumed they brought them along, smart move. At the end of the last snorkel I noticed the flippers being taken back from the Thai customers and put in a locker. I do not know when they brought them out as I was sitting next to the locker and would have noticed. Snorkelling without flippers is not easy. Otherwise staff were good. We visited Koh Hat for one snorkel, and Koh Rok for ttwo snorkels. Koh Hat was a disapointment, but Koh Rok was good. We also stopped for lunch on Koh Rok, plenty of good food. Some customers took up the option of missing snorkelling on Koh Rok, and spent the afternoon on Koh Rok beach, which was good. Snorkel fee with organiser does not include entry to Koh Rok, 400 baht for farangs, 40 baht for Thai.

  4. Snorkeling trip with a great company, with English instructor great staff and good gear. Tour included two snorkeling sites on Koh Rok and one on Koh Haa. Lunch was at Koh Rok national park and white sandy beaches. Every sesion was different but Koh Haa was by far the best spot. Tour has lots of participants even during very low tourist action due to covid so might be more crowded when the tourists come back.

  5. We took a day trip from Koh Lanta to Phi Phi island. The trip included snorkeling/swimming stops, lunch at a lagoon and stops at Maya Bay and Phi Phi Don. Service was friendly and efficient both at the reservation office and by the staff on the boat. (We were allowed to postpone our trip one day due to unstable weather). The snorkeling exceeded our expectations, the corals seemed in quite good shape and I even saw two sharks. The lunch box was the best I’ve had on these types of tours – no plastic! The stop at Maya Bay was the highlight. The new access rules are, thankfully, very restrictive, so we ended up being alone on the beach, which was a magic experience.

  6. 1. I would give a zero if I could. We took the 1 day trip from SalaDan pier to Koh Rok and Ko Rok Noi. The islands and swimming, and snorkeling and beach time? Absolutely lovely. The insurmountable problem is the boat they use. Ours was #9. The absolute worst boat I have ever been on, crammed so full of people everyone was touching everyone else on both sides, perhaps ok for a short run, but this was 1 full hour of absolute agony. On top of the ludicrous number of people they shove on this little boat the cramped seating was made all that much worse by not having any, and I mean none, lower back support. I like many others decided to stand from time to time to avoid the backaches. Mind you the boat goes very fast and is tossed about quite a bit. When we finally stopped at the first dive spot it was amusing if not down right insane as they tried to negotiate up and down this tiny boat with masks, fins and snorkels for everyone. I won’t mention what a joke it was getting everyone in the water from the aft end.We both now have huge backaches from this horrid boat and I strongly suggest you ask whoever sells you the tickets for these island excursions exactly how many people will be on the boat. I don’t know what there rules are, if any, for overcapacity but this boat most definitely met that threshold by any measure.

  7. We took the speedboat from Ngai to Lanta on Dec 14. The boat picked us up directly at the hotel and departed right on time. The crew was very friendly and the 45 min trip nice and smooth. Would recommend

  8. We were initially booked with these guys for a Koh Haa/Koh Rok day trip and finished up being herded onto a Pattesia Boat at the Koh Lanta ferry wharf. The boat was extremely overcrowded to the extent that some passengers had to sit on the floor. This resulted in an absolute circus when it came time to try and exit to boat for snorkelling. Especially at Koh Haa where the water was infested with stinging jelly fish. The boat crew did an OK job and it turned out to be a reasonably enjoyable day with the beach and snorkeling around Koh Rok being the highlight of the day.

  9. We had a fantastic time with garden hill speedboat to Koh phi phi feb 11th 2024!Ya was one of the best guides we have ever had in Thailand! Great energy and humour and very good English! Showed us unique snorkelling sites and even blacktip reef sharks! We had such a great time and will highly recommend this trip! It got a bit windy and a lot of waves on the way back, so remember to consider this if you get seasick easily or have small children!

  10. Our hotel organized transport to Ko Ngai from Ko Lanta using this company. The driver picked us up from our resort on time and everything went smoothly!
