We chose the 3 hours beach trail and had an absolute amazing time. The horses are really good trained and easy to handle. Joe is a really good teacher and takes care of the people and the horses. Although my friend is an beginner we did canter and gallop as Joe said that she’s able to do it. Cat and Joe are really kind and hospitable and made this day unforgettable for us. We will definitely come back and highly recommend this wonderful adventure to everyone who loves horses.
Having horses at home that I was paying to have ridden, I was a little hesitant to then pay to ride while in Thailand. The guilt lasted about 30 seconds, and I had one of my most memorable horse days ever. Not that I don’t love my ponies of course, but to have the opportunity to ride beautifully cared for, well trained and apparently ‘happy’ horses on one of the most beautiful stretches of near deserted beaches on the Andaman coastline was simply breathtaking. The South Arabian Horse Club was a beautiful facility with well cared for grounds and individual stalls and pastures for the resident horses. The owners obviously take the care and health of their charges seriously, before during and after the ride. While riding, the owner took the time to assess each rides skill level before letting loose on the endless stretch of sand and surf. Galloping along the perfect beach while feeling under control and in good hands was unforgettable.After our 3 hour adventure, we were surprised with a photo of our new friend and trusty steed, as well as video that our guide Joe captured for us galloping on the beach…. just perfect! I can’t say enough positive things to convey my experience, except to say: if you get the opportunity: do this ride; you will love it!
I took the 3-hour beach ride to spend the no-fly day after a weeklong liveaboard diving trip – this is my usual habit after diving. Quite certainly, I have not experienced such a great riding opportunity in years! The owners take their horses and their wellbeing very seriously, all are beautiful Arabs, many with endurance racing background, allowing breathtaking gallop on the long empty beaches. I’m a reasonably good rider but got also a lot of valuable advice to improve my posture and balance – something you usually don’t get at places where they just put you on a horse and tell you not to do anything! The pre-ride briefing was great, very good helmets were provided as well as belts with a water bottle to carry on safely. I did not have appropriate boots with me so the owners kindly borrowed my their own. Absolutely recommend. Might be that there are cheaper options around but don’t be silly and cheap on the animals’ wellbeing and your safety!
An amazing 3 hour ride. Through the woodland onto the beautiful beach. We saw more nature on this ride that an earlier forest walk we did, monitor lizards, varieties of birds and even water buffalo! The centre is amazingly run and as you have to cross a main road on the way to the beach there is even someone there to stop the traffic to let you cross. Jo and Cat are lovely and they can cater for all experiences of rider. They provide you with water and bum bag for the ride and take photos to send to you. On arriving back you are greeted with a lovely cooling cold towel and a selection of drinks. Would recommend to any one who is experienced or just wants to get on a horse and see the wonderful sights of Khao Lak. Wishing you all the best Cat and Jo
Horses are very well trained and well cared. Riding in the jungle and on the beach was a wonderful and unique experience. The owners are were friendly and professional. Horses welfare is the most important thing. They want you to have the most best riding experience. I feel safe in this trip. I Can really recommend this stable to you.
After searching a while on the web for a nice spot to do horseback riding I found the South Arabian Horse Club.The first contacts by mail were very nice and we were not disappointed on the spot.The Owners are really wonderful people, you can see and feel their passion for what they do.We had a wonderful 3hour Beach Trail experience and even as a beginner I quickly lost my uncertainty thanks to Joe and with great help from the loving and patient Eliza?After returning we were welcomed with cool drinks by Cat.Again thank you so much Cat and Joe and best of luck for all your future plans.Hope to see you again one day!
I had opted to do a one hour ride in the rubber plantation, but was offered the recently opened mountain ride. It started with sharp inclines and declines, with the horses having to navigate through rough terrain. Vegetation hung over the paths and the guide should have instructed us to dismount. He didn’t but Indiana Jones like steamed ahead, bamboo dropped down and I was knocked off the horse by the neck. Severe injuries have resulted and I will be on medication for at least six weeks.
A unforgettable experience on the beach with well trained horses and professional guide who takes really good care of the safety of riders. Very friendly service which starts from the very first message you send them. The horses are well taken care of and in good fit. What an unbelievable equestrian experience. 100% customer satisfaction guaranteed. Beautifully safe and perfectly schooled horses, amazing trekking through trail before reaching the huge open beaches which allow you to canter and canter and canter. The care shown by Joe and Cat (and the gorgeous Serina, their 2 years and 8 month old natural horserider daughter) alongside their wonderful staff is truly fantastic. Cat has done a wonderful job with their website which clearly offers the perfect choice of rides for different abilities. Simply awesome and made by 50th birthday trip so so special. I booked myself into the beach trail through “whatsapp” and talked to Cat who was very polite and helpful from start until the end.This is a nice little family company which feels very welcoming to arrive to.We were a small group of only me and another girl from Finland and then Joe, the guide. It was very nice to be few people in the group?The horses were really nice and had lots of energy and felt very comfortable to sit on. I was surprised to find such a nice place with good management in Thailand ?? I would really recommend horse lovers to visit South Arabian Horse Club and go for a lovely beach ride.Thank you ?
