We happened to come across New Escada Fashion by Mr. Kumar while browsing the shops, with no thought of a tailor-made suit or dress.While trying on swimming trunks, we got into conversation with Mr. Kumar, who offered us drinks and showed us his work in a completely unobtrusive way. He took his time and I decided to have two suits and 5 shirts tailor-made. In the further course of our conversation, we also decided to have a wedding dress made to measure for my future wife.Here, too, Mr. Kumar has a great sense of tact, a super eye and always has the latest fashion trends in mind, as well as using the best materials at a top price-performance ratio.But it is not only his craftsmanship that is right with him, but also him as a person. During the fitting of the suits and dresses, we kept talking about completely different topics and about life in Thailand, his family and his experiences.A man with his heart in the right place, a great family and a great shop.I look forward to wearing the beautiful suits, seeing my wife in the beautiful dress and seeing Mr. Kumar again one day on his European tours.Mr. Kumar, it was an honour to meet you.

Be prepared to take your time and get to know Kumar as he is a very interesting tailor. I am very pleased with my Thai silk dress and my husband’s pants fit perfectly. There was a wide variety of fabrics to choose from. We went to the shop located on the opposite side near Dino Park. The measurements were quick and easy. I went on a Friday afternoon and the 2 suits and 2 pairs of casual pants I ordered were ready to be tried on Monday. Monday the fitting was spot on. Measurements taken were precise with no further alterations required. I went out Tuesday night wearing one of the casual pants. So comfortable and a perfect fit. So impressed I returned to the shop Wednesday morning asking if he could make another pair of casual pants in a different fabric as well as another suit top before I flew out Friday. I was advised they could and the clothes would be delivered to my Resort Thursday. I am on holiday and have got the accessories at home that I will match up. The whole process was seamless. The measurements spot on, clothes very comfy. Efficient, professional service with great pricing. I was given extra fabric so my hair could be tied up, I would highly recommend New Escada Fashion.
If you are in Phuket and looking for tailor made shirts and suits – this is the place to go. I waited to write this review until I had worn the shirts and the suit a few times – what can I say? The quality is really great, ironing the cotton shirts is so easy (as Kumar said!). Kumar himself (the owner) is a man of honour and trust, where a look in the eye and a handshake means more than any paper…. and he has a good sense of humour too. Shopping at New Escada is a real experience! Absolutely recommendable.
