  1. The best place! ♥️If I’m in Phuket in the future, I’ll definitely come again! Thank you very much! )))I was there in the evening and had little time left, but I managed to feed the elephants, recharge with positive emotions, and take photos)Probably, if you arrive in the morning, you can help prepare food for the elephants… For some reason I didn’t think about this in advance ??‍♀️ But that would be great))

  2. Experienced feeding elephants. My main goal was to try and ensure they were not chained or hit etc. No chains and commanded with words, no hitting or directing with sticks etcWe fed a variety of elephants in varies ages. The Experience was amazing but I worry they will breed for tourism not rescue.

  3. We were a bit apprehensive but my wife did lots of research and was in contact with the owner who put us at easy about how the elephants were treated. Very pleased to say the elephants were well treated, well feed and very happy. There are to many unpleasant so called “sanctuaries” that mistreat their animals but this is not one of them. The owner was lovely as were the staff. 1000 baht per person (take cash) but to know the money goes toward the care of these beautiful gentle giants is worth every cent

  4. Elephant Care centre. No riding, No bull horns, No chains. Flapping ears and wagging tails.Pregnant female they think maybe 19 months in. We just need to educate ourselves and not ride them. A lot are now actual Sanctuaries where you just watch feed and touch. I can’t change the world but I can spread the word. Such a lovely team caring for these animals. Sit and watch them or interact. No time frame leave when you are ready. It is their culture to work elephants but to see them retired and happy is such a beautiful change.

  5. We were staying at the Marriott Merlin Beach resort and saw there was an elephant sanctuary behind. We visited as a family and were not disappointed. We went early as it opens at 9am and we missed the crowds. We got to spent at least 30-40mins with the elephants on our own. We fed then baskets full of cucumbers, watermelon, sugar cane, and other fruits. They were not chained and treated extremely well. The guide took out phone and filmed us and took photos too. They were very accomodating for out 10 year old as well. The elephants were happy and one was pregnant, another was 6 years and 3 years and I can’t remember the age of the fourth. After we washed our hands and they have a fruit platter and water where we could watch the elephants some more. The view of the ocean was also fantastic as the backdrop. It was 1000thb for adults and 700thb for child. It is just a 10 minute drive from Pating a taxi is 280thb. And a short stroll from Marriott. Merlin BeachResort. It really was a lovely morning.

  6. We went as a family of three. It is a short walk from Marriott Merlin Beach resort or a 8 min trip from Patong. The elephants are treated well. They are given such a wonderful variety of food from cucumbers, sugar cane, bananas and watermelon. There are no chains or yelling at the elephants. There was a pregnant elephant due next month and another 6 years old, 3 years old and 2 years old. All are very happy and well-looked after. They roam the forest freely at break times and night. .They gave us basket after basket of food and took photos and video with our phone for us. They gave us a lovely plate of fruit and bottle of water and an elephant keychain as well. .such a wonderful place and also has an amazing view of the ocean. Tip – get there early and beat the crowds.

  7. Spent a few hours with these 4 wonderful creatures (soon to be 5) who roam around you freely in an open area sanctuary. There is no riding allowed and that is a good thing.Really enjoyed our time with the Elephants. You get a big basket of various foods to give to them and it was my first ever time being this close to them. A number of staff supervise the Elephants at any given time and are standing next to them, so it felt safe to be around them. The younger phants are especially cheeky and will try and steal their food from you and each other becuase of their impatience. It cost approx £20 per adult at the time we went and thought this was great value for money for the experience you got. In addition, we were given a keyring, 2 bottles of water and a plate of fresh fruit each. They are funny creatures and will take food from your hand with their trunks, or you can put the food directly in their mouths. Although the Elephants were being cleaned when we got there, they will make contact with you and give you hugs etc with their trunks, and we both got quite dirty from that. It is not a problem and didn’t take away from the experience, but just don’t wear new or expensive / favourite clothing.Staff seem to enjoy working with the Elephants and they all appeared well cared for.If we are in the area again, we will definitely go back.

  8. We booked the night before as we were on a cruise. We had limited time so we booked feeding only. We were met from the tender port. The trip was excellently organised from start to finish. It was lovely to get up close to the elephants. The painting of a magnet was a nice souvenir. Given plenty of bottles of water and fresh melon. Definitely worth the money and a very enjoyable time was had!

  9. Amazing to be so close to these beautiful animals, 1 baby, 1 expecting…so gentle. Feeding them sugar cane, watermelon. Keepers making sure that you get a cuddle from them it was a lovely way to meet them.

  10. We had a lovely visit to Patong Elephant care. We spent a few hours with 3 elephants who we fed, cuddled and showered. The staff were very caring and helpful, ensuring we had plenty of time with the elephants and lots of pictures. We were also given plenty of water and fruit to enjoy while watching others with the elephants. The elephants seemed well cared for and everything appeared to be ethical which is what we were looking for. The elephants were trained and supervised rather than restrained. It was a short (<5 min) walk from Marriott Merlin Beach
