Great place to get good massage with proper price. I chose hard/strong one and it was really strong but you can choose medium and soft as well. And if you choose to soft or to strong one you can say and change the level anytime.
Invited us in – we’re very warm post which the service was just about ok and they decided to charge more than the rate card – also told us that they would like to give our 6 year old a massage free and then decided to give 20 mins and charge for it! Very fake and unprofessional –
It is full of options for massage, but somehow we chose this one and it was a great idea. They took good care of us and, from what we saw around, it was a fair good price. It was nice that you could choose the level of the massage, soft, medium or strong.

We called in advance and asked if they had availability to do a massage for our group of 6 adults, all at the same time. The person who took our call did not commit immediately and said that she would call us back to confirm. We took this as a good show of professionalism – no empty promises! She called back about 5 minutes later and said that yes, they can do it, so we made an appointment to be there in 30 mins.But getting there proved to be a little harder than expected. The tuk tuk driver had not heard of the name Ocean Retreat Spa and Massage. Giving him the address didn’t seem to help. In the end, the driver had to call the place and get directions.When we arrived, we saw that the name on the signboard was Savanna massage – no wonder the tuk tuk driver had not recognized the name Ocean Retreat! The interiors looked like the photos here so we were definitely at the right place – not sure why there is a different name here on Tripadvisor.We were not early for our appointment, but there were only 2 therapists there. Another 3 walked in about 10 to 15 minutes later. 5 of us began our treatment – but apparently there was no therapist available for the 6th person in our group! I was upset and said that that we had called earlier and confirmed. There was a lot of distraction while the therapists tried to massage us and get the 6th therapist. They eventually found one who was obviously not one of their own staff as she didn’t even know how to get to the shop and one of the other therapists had to stop the massage and lead her to the shop!In all fairness, the massage for the first 5 of us lasted a bit longer than what we paid for, perhaps to compensate for the distraction during the first 10 minutes or so when they tried to get the 6th therapist. The quality of the massage was pretty good too. My father rated it the 2nd best of the 4 massages he had in Krabi. But we do feel that they should not have committed if they were not prepared for our large group.
My last day after month in Thailand I decided to finish with Thai massage. And it was great idea after a long trip from islands! I immediately chose strong one and could enjoy 60 minutes of real massage. Can advice the place (I was at plenty places all over Thailand).
Thai Massage with oil and hot stones is ideal after long day on the beach.Insist on soft massage to begin with and gradually move to more pressure.Check oils and ensure take a warm shower after the spa.
The spot is hard to find. They are on the second floor. Don’t get it wrong. Their previous name is ‘’Savanna Spa & Massage’’. But their front door hasn’t changed the name yet. They are very polite and experienced.
Best massage I’ve gotten in SE Asia! This is the place to go if you’re in Krabi and needing some self care. Everyone is super friendly and professional and only 400 baht for an hour and a half of heaven. I left feeling extremely refreshed
I went with my girlfriend to this spa and we received a great pain relieving massage. We had just been on a long journey and our whole bodies were sore. I have also had knee surgeries and now feel so much lighter. Thank you to Guru Bitoey for making my pain go away.
