  1. During a recent trip to Phuket my friends and I joined the crew for a workout on the beach and then got stuck in a cleaned up a heap of garbage. Weather was great and was able burn off a bit of the food and grog consumed the days before. But, the best part was seeing what us and our new friends did when we finished the clean up. Great way to spend a Saturday morning.

  2. You will see the difference you make, before and after the clean up. This group of friendly people visit a different beach on every other Saturday for two hours starting mid-morning. The first hour involves a warm-up, some aerobic/strength training and fun team games (relay races, tug-o-war, that sort of thing) This is followed by a yoga-style stretching cool down. Then latex gloves and trash bags are supplied and we get to work gathering trash. It’s not unusual for there to be a dozen large trash bags filled by the time we finish (usually around 45 minutes later). The group often goes to a nearby restaurant after the event. If I weren’t having a great time I wouldn’t keep coming back. I think I’ve been to 8 or 9 of these and I always look forward to the next one. The beaches on Phuket are gorgeous. They are even more beautiful when they’ve had a little tender loving care. I’ve met some very interesting people at these events, a variety of people from around the world: visitors, expats, and students. A wide range of ages and backgrounds. Thais and non-Thais. It’s a welcoming group, having fun and doing a good thing. What more can you ask for?

  3. This was an excellent event, making a real difference to the beaches in Phuket. The training was great and did leave me feeling better afterwards. The beach cleaning is a pretty sobering reminder of just how bad plastic is for the environment, but it’s great that this event exists to make a difference whilst getting fitter and meeting new people from all around the worldThank you Krix, keep up the great work!

  4. We’ve joined a few times and always meet great people and have a fun doing something good! We always try to go if we’re in town!

  5. Thank you one million times for you organizing and keep doing something so important! Fun activities on the beach and work that makes you feel disappointed with the fact that we humans are do so disrespectful towards nature. It is important to be involved! It is a great family activity. And it is doing good!

  6. Clean the Beach is an amazing way to meet new people while exercising. The best part is all of us join together to make the beach a cleaner place for everyone. We spend lots of time cleaning the beach after our exercise and hopefully people will throw their trash away.

  7. Such a nice event for everyone ! You can come and join for free work out which is suitable for every ages ! meet some awesome people ,and clean the beach together ! Always in my lists to do twice a months now.

  8. Great work Clean The Beach Boot Camp. This is a very worthy cause helping to keep the beaches clean of trash that damage our environment . It was so much fun and my first time joining in in this activity . Nothing better than a great workout with a professional and afterwards clean the beach . The beach looked amazing after all our efforts with a good turn out of people both local and visitors on holiday . As a destination Expert I highly recommend this activity and keep up the great work you are doing .

  9. My family have been living in Phuket a month now and we have attended 2 CBBC’s. Fun and feel good Saturday morning activity. I am giving it 5* of course but I do have 2 suggestions…I honestly reckon the workouts should be harder hehe. And I also think if a stack of gardening gloves were purchased (or donated) people could use them over and over and wash them between uses rather than latex ones. Would not have worked today of course when the turn out was >100 people woohoo!

  10. Start the day with a 45 min to 1 hour work out, fun game, team run… carry on with the beach cleaning. Meet expat from many different nationalities whom have one objectif :KEEP THE BEACH, OCEAN CLEAR OF PLASTIC. all in all a great way to spend your saturday morning.
