Just visited the Yunomori’s new onsen at Sathorn and left the place completely relaxed! The food and spa were absolutely amazing. Luckily I went Tuesday at 11 am when the place was still quite empty and I got the most out of the spa.
Sathorn branch,, Massage ManagerI ever have Thai massage from the other spa.Last mon First time for Yunomori sathorn I got the Thai massage and onsen package. After visit next day i got bruised and lower back muscle pain. The doctor said your pain from Hard massage.“If you have sensitive skin you shouldn’t thai massage.”I just want apologize not free vouchers. That is the thing that the staff should do.
The most terrible experience we had in any massage place around the world. Booked for Onsen and 90 minutes massage, and even add on the Deep Sleep Head Massage. Worst decision ever! Reasons stated below:- air-conditioning did not work properly in the room allocated, the two staff who did our massage felt it and though we complain they did nothing and said it will be okay after a while. That did not happened, it remains hot for the full duration. They finally open the door slightly before the Deep Sleep Head Massage to let some cold air in…too late too little.- you will see i did not refer them to masseur, as this can only be used for a person who provides massage professionally. They don’t, no strength, no technique and worst than any other massage place we had in Bangkok. Bangkok is famous for massage and their techniques are all of a certain standard regardless of price. – on Yunomori ‘s website it stated that they brings ancient Japanese Onsen bathing culture together with traditional Thai massage techniques to create a uniquely relaxing experience. Unique indeed if you are after a hot and non existence massage, or your are just after a hot place to sleep for 2 plus hours. The only good thing is the entrance and counter area looks very Japanese, so do go and take some pictures if you can be bothered taking Grab or walking in the hot sun as this place is not that close to BTS station. The Onsen is clean though we were pretty much the first 2 arriving so can’t be sure what it will be like with a crowd.Overall, this was the an extremely disappointing and frustrating experience especially this was supposed to be a special birthday treat. Considering the price tag, one would be expecting a high quality of service but we did not even get the bare minimum – a working air-con to ensure the environment is pleasant for the massage, and staff who actually knows how to massage.
This was my second visit here, but the first one was in 2018 before covid.I enjoyed the facilities and thought they were comparable to what you’d find in a city onsen in Japan. I didn’t get a treatment but I did enjoy a milk drink in the lovely courtyard afterwards. The staff don’t really give any explanation but there’s information on their website that you can read before going. It seemed to be mostly locals there when I visited.
This has to be probably the worst experience in my entire life. I am not used to write bad reviews but this has to be said. If you are a black person STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. I and my boyfriend came here (he is white) asked for the same exact thing. I ended in getting an unexperienced person, that could not distinguish my muscles from my bones and ended up only hurting me. It seemed to me he was disgusted in touching me as I am a black person. And in all this not even an apology. Horrible experience
I visited this Japanese-style hot spring place during my trip in Bangkok on a quiet Wednesday evening. It’s not huge like their branch in Pattaya, but it’s clean and not too crowded. They have everything – hot spring baths, saunas, a cold bath, and a steam room. Even though it’s smaller than I expected, it felt cozy and peaceful.I didn’t try the massage, but I had dinner there. The food was just okay, but the whole experience was nice. The staff were friendly, and the atmosphere was relaxed. If you want a chill spot for a soak in the heart of Bangkok and a calm evening after a long day of exploring the city, this onsen is a good choice.
Very relaxing environment, good massage. Private and clean rooms. We had such a good time that we went like 3 times in our short trip. Too bad we didn’t get to try the food.
時々利用しています。サウナ内には「Please take a shower after the sauna.」と書いていますが、ビギナー利用者はサウナから、汗のまま水風呂に入っています。本当であれば、水風呂の前に「Please shower before taking a cold water bath」と記載すれば、少しはマナーもよくなるかもしれませんね。
It was my first time at an Onsen. I was completely clueless about the right procedure (i.e., you get naked in the changing room and walk out to the baths with only a small towel), but the staff in the room was quite helpful in guiding me. Once you get over the initial awkwardness, the Onsen is a great experience. I’m sure there are options in Bangkok that are just as good at a fraction of the price, but for those who are willing to pay significantly higher than local prices, If you book the onsen+massage package, make sure you show up at least 90 minutes in advance. Preferably two hours in advance to maximize the leisurely Onsen experience.I also opted for the 90 minute full body massage. My first ever massage. It was a solid experience. Word of advice: don’t let the size of the masseuse fool you. Even a 4’11, middle-aged lady can pack quite a punch on the massage table. I learned that quite fast when I recklessly told her that a “strong” massage is fine.
Gone to seed. Spa look tardy and not well kept. Senior used to be very affordable now expensive. Staff continues not to be able to communicate . Food on restaurant hanged menu but not elevate standards. Sigh! Why do we expect all good things to remain??
