Parawan’s Thai Home Cooking Classes is perched on a picturesque hilltop overlooking 13/82 Moo 1 Sairee, 84360, Thailand
We absolutely loved Parawan’s class – she was so warm and friendly; we felt welcome in her home. The rooftop kitchen had everything we needed for three delicious dishes (Massaman curry, spring rolls and mango sticky rice). Parawan shared her copious expertise and supported us through the whole process. The food was amazing and Parawan ensured that we could replicate it at home. We can’t recommend the class enough!!
Like those before me, I had delightful time at this cooking class with my daughter, her partner and my wife. Parawan was lovely to learn from as she is so very informative, caring and professional. Her classes are at her home on the top floor in an airy and open place where the birds sit on the railing and sing their songs while you are learning about Thai cooking. You pick the dishes you want to learn how to do before you arrive so that she can have all the ingredients ready. She explains things very clearly and is able to answer all your questions no matter how trivial they were. The class takes up to three hours and you have your meal afterwards. Each person has their own food prep station as well as a cooking station. The layout is very well thought out allowing you room to move around and allow Parawan to look over your shoulder providing on the spot advice. As an adjunct to sea based activities, you cannot go wrong. Whether you are a cook or have no experience at all, you are sure to learn a lot. With tourism returning to a post Covid Thailand, the more people that can enjoy her lessons the better. Try it you will certainly enjoy yourself and come away with new skills.
what a day enjoyed every minute from start to finish brilliant class in amazing settings well worth it por is a amazing teacher an explains everything easy and makes the lesson so enjoyable i would recommend this to anybody my mrs cant cook for toffee and even she liked it food tasted fit an the rooftop terrace with views of the hills jungle to die for will well be back next time im i koh tao 10/10 xx

We came for a morning session and had a great time. From the cooking itself to the manner in which we were taught, it was all excellent. A special thank you to Parawan and her aid (sorry, did not grab her name) who were just great. Food sorted for the rest of our day! Delicious!
The whole experience was excellent. We were made very welcome. The professional kitchen on the top floor was airy and shaded. We prepared spring rolls, no-name, (a vegetable snack) and a Thia red curry. The whole experience was informative; hands-on, with practical tips on preparation and cooking lasting over 3-4 hours.Then the best bit – you get to eat it ! It was absolutely lovely !
An amazing afternoons activity and one of my highlights from my time spent in Thailand. The teacher is one of the nicest people out there and was so good at breaking the process down even for a very armature cook like myself. I really loved my time there and will definitely try to recreate the meals we learnt.Of the meal choices we chose the Thai Green, Pad Thai and Fried rice as these are some of our favorite dishes. The finished results were amazing and the closest thing I’ve ever come to making restaurant quality food. If we were on the island for longer we would have come back for a second lesson to learn even more amazing meal.I would thoroughly recommend this activity to anyone considering it. you honestly wont regret it!

I was a bit sceptical about a cooking class but on reflection would thoroughly recommend this experience to both seasoned and ‘non’ cooks (me). Parawan was a very friendly and knowledgeable hostess and shared so much information about Thai food – even knowing what ingredients would not be available in the UK and offering alternatives. We cooked 3 meals , more than you could eat and left with an excellent pad thai to enjoy later. Overall it was a really great experience and would definitely do again.
