This was my first scuba diving experience, and I was a little nervous going diving. I had the best support from the entire staff. They did a great job of educating us on all the procedures and structure for how the dive worked and welcomed any questions or concerns. I was assigned a professional diver who was by my side at all times coaching me and guiding me through the drive. She was super nice and encouraging and I always felt like I was in safe hands. The dive was a huge success and I had so much fun! I have always wanted to scuba dive, and I am so glad I got this experience. I even got to see a sea turtle up close!
Had a great discover scuba trip with the Barakuda team! Jeremy was a wonderful dive master, took us through everything step by step and made sure everyone felt great the entire time.
This was such an awesome experience! The whole team was so knowledgeable and fun to dive with and as a group of many first-time divers made our whole group feel calm and excited. Jeremey was my instructor and was amazing! Great experience and team!
I went diving on with my study abroad group and it was a great experience! Majority of us were first time divers and the crew did a great job explaining how to dive and made us feel very comfortable. We practiced breathing and swimming with the gear before the dive, which was very helpful! The crew did a great job making all of us feel safe and excited for the experience. We did 2 dives and saw lots of fish, a barracuda, and turtles. After we had lunch on the boat. One crew member even let me borrow her hair oil and brush after we dived! She was so sweet! Awesome experience and friendly staff!

I was pretty confused about diving under the sea for months. I’m not a good breather, nor am I a good swimmer. I learned about Phi Phi Barakuda after looking every diving facility I could find in the internet. Thank god, I found the perfect one.Teague from the Barakuda team has been a huge encouragement to me since we spoke, and I have cleared up my confusion ever since. I visited with the staff in their café after getting in touch with Phi Phi Island. I was briefed first together with a highly motivated staff in person.Final day! I grabbed an Americano in front of Tonsai Pier early the next morning and enjoyed the beautiful morning. I set out on foot to report locations. We left for the diving destinations promptly. Sara approached me and assured me that she would always be by my side because I had chosen “discover scuba”. I felt somewhat at ease after Sara’s lengthy briefing. What would happen if I lost you, I asked her? Sara smiled and said, you are not going to lose me, although she said, what to do if something happens like this. All right, good to gooooo. I was wearing my special clothes and shoes, as well as the huge cylinder that I had never lifted in the land either.Anyway Game on!When the descent began, it felt as though I had entered a parallel dimension in which nothing was unreal. I could greet fish, octopuses, and coral. I was prepared to have a near-death experience before diving, but this is an experience beyond life. Sara made everything feel so natural for me that I’m becoming more at ease. What a beautiful and strong woman. She deserves more gratitude from me.Andressa was a huge assistance to me when it came to capturing photos. She is an accomplished photographer who has taught me a few photography poses, albeit I haven’t always succeeded. I have earned this experience of a lifetime in my life. Team Phi Phi Barakuda, thank you. Diver, manager, photographer, each and everyone had one-o-one communication with me.Such a wonderful team and I am very lucky and proud to have my first dive with them.I am sure I am going to do again and again with Phi Phi barakuda.Thank you so so much.
All staff were warm, friendly, incredibly helpful – all making for an incredible scuba diving experience in Koh Samui! We enjoyed two dives, organized in a professional, yet comfortably relaxed manner. Our meal about was excellent and the underwater life, abundant. This experience far exceeded our expectations. I had an amazing experience with Barakuda diving completing my open water PADI. I was really nervous and Gary my instructor really put me at ease he was super encouraging, calm, relaxed and very professional. He took me to some amazing dive spots. The boat we went out on was great, all of the staff were so friendly and welcoming. They offer lunch, teas and coffees on the boats which was a really nice touch. We even had a stop off at Maya bay. A great way to see the islands whilst also getting to dive. There is so much to see! Thanks Gary and team
