地球の歩き方2019-2020にも記載のあるバドゥン・クルン・カーセム運河のボート。センセーブ運河のボートは旅行者にもメジャーですが、この知名度の低い路線はどうでしょうか。 乗り場はタイ国鉄フアランポーン駅を出て左に進んですぐの運河に掛かる橋のたもと。地球の歩き方には「フアランポーン乗り場が始発」とありますが、これは二つ目で、正しくはこの「フアランポーン鉄道駅乗り場」になります。 試験運転なのか料金は2019年7月現在で無料。15分毎の運航と書かれていますが近くの船寄せ場から待ち客が見えないと船が出ないシステムの様です。 行き先は終点「タラート・テウエート」まで、ゆっくり進む約20分の航旅。終点からはチャオプラヤ河を見ながら食事が出来るスティーブ カフェ アンド キュイジーヌがすぐのロケーションになります。チャオプラヤ・エクスプレス・ボートのテウエート乗り場も歩いてすぐです。途中、ボートに並走してオオトカゲが泳いでいたり、水嵩が増して橋の下を潜れず運行が途中で終わる等、出たとこ勝負感満載の地味な運河ボートですが、交差点では船頭が船先で左右確認する味わい深い光景も見られます。 賑やかなバンコクに疲れた時に、ふらりと乗船されてはいかがでしょうか？
