  1. This is the museum of the National Anti-Corruption Commission of Thailand. There is a theatrette with a short film explaining the work of the Commission and its activities. The displays show the development of some notable anti-corruption cases, including the rice purchasing scandal around 2012-14 which led to the prosecution of the then Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra. The presentation seems aimed mainly at students, and we saw a group of students working on a school assignment. We had a guided tour, in Thai. Most of the displays are in Thai only, and there is not much information in English. This is not a must-visit place for foreigners, but it gives an insight into the extent of corruption and the enormity of the task ahead. Most countries with lots of corruption don’t have an anti-corruption museum (Indonesia being an exception with its very good museum in Magelang).

  2. This is a very amusing museum for people from countries with corruption. Documentaries are shown about the biggest corruption cases of Thailand.

  3. The Anti-Corruption Museum in Bangkok is a nice attempt to raise awareness of the everyday bribery that has become a natural part of the Thai society. It shows examples and tries to clarify the question “Where does corruption start?” and “What counts as Corruption?”There are the big businessmen that bribe with millions, the politicians that usually receive the money and there are the normal people that cheat their way through life by paying for every little thing that is too hard for them to achieve. It is a good approach to the topic, but I’m afraid it will not have a sufficient effect to solve the problem. Those that are corrupt will not even bother to visit the place and those who do will have no power to change things significantly. But at least there is an approach and the problem is no longer denied.Unfortunately only some of the many information boards are in English. The interactive touch screens are in Thai only.In the video presentation room a 30-minute video shown on request, but again only in Thai with English subtitles. The entrance seemed to be free, but I am not sure about that since there was no one at the reception to ask.The place is not so very interesting, but a nice activity if you happen to be in the vicinity. It is also air-conditioned. So give it chance and if you don’t like it, at least you can relax in a chilled environment.Opening Times are Monday – Friday, 9:00 -16:00h. The Anti-Corruption Museum is located at the corner of Phitsanulok Road and Likhit Road, with the entrance facing Phitsanulok Road.

  4. Not open even though we visited on one of the posted days/times. Everything was closed, and the security guards told us the museum has stopped operation. Checking the website listed on Google Maps, it now comes up with a 404 error and then redirects you to the generic Anti-Corruption home page. A shame as this place looked very interesting.
