  1. Great to see some of the culture here in Bangkok! Some lovely sites and would recommend for anyone! Remember to cover body!!

  2. We went to Way Sri Iam for the funeral of a relative on January 1st. The temple is peaceful and clean. We have been to the temple for funerals many times. The main hall is nice but small.

  3. The temple is far from the center. We stayed in a hotel near here for a couple of days, so we couldn’t help but go. The structure covers a fairly large area, almost a block. It’s a whole complex. There is a school in the temple complex. A big one. The name of the temple is Si Iam Anuson School. It doesn’t smell antiquities. The temple is clearly new, recently built. Some other temple buildings that look like residential buildings are being added. In published materials it is called silver or even silver-gold. Its glitter and sparkle in the sunlight can be seen from afar. The silver colour and the twinkle in the sun attract the gaze of people from Srinagarindra Avenue and from the monorail station whose line is elevated above the avenue. The roof and structures of the temple gleam for the simple reason that its outer surface is covered with pieces of mirrors complemented by gold patterns. There are silver elements. One of the most interesting structures of the complex is the crematorium. This is the most beautiful crematorium I’ve ever seen. Once again, I found out what a bright religion Buddhism is. The crematorium is just radiant, also shining in the sunlight. There’s more gold than the temple. We got into service. Perhaps the departed will be escorted. People in mostly dark clothes sat under an air-conditioned canopy opposite the crematorium, facing it. The temple clerk stood outside and said something penetratingly, looking at the crematorium. Anyway, everything is solemn and beautiful. Except there was no smoke coming from the pipe.
