20km further east of PhoPisai district , The Tam chum village is uprising with crowd of tourists and locals to see the fireballs erupting frome surface water of Khong among fullmoon night of october. Be prepared with mat, we sat at the riverbank from 4:00pm till sunset. It’s miracles of the year, the fireballs come as schedule.
Being there 4 times, first experience was fantastic. See to believe Fire Ball shot up from mekong river after sunset. Need to book hotel a year ahead as fully booked. Only problem you can leave the place only next day as traffic chaos after the event. Traffic takes few hours to reach Udon Thani with the massive jam.
