  1. Arriving at the flower fields is a bit commercial. Lots of kiosks selling food and stuff, which belies what follows. One lines up for a ride in a small bus that hauls you up the mountain. That’s where you first see the fields of tulips. Really lovely. But there still remains another surprise. When the bus drops you off at the top of the hill you are surrounded by trees. A short walk of three minutes suddenly opens out on the side of a cliff and you can see for a 100 miles. The view is amazing. After spending time on the view you must then walk down the hill through the forest along a trail, the flower fields are fitted with board walks and you are advised to stay on the walks. EnjoyableGreat Somdam too. Very spicy!

  2. The Kra Jiao flower field is the highlight of the Pa Hin Ngam National Park. The shuttle buses from the entrance of the park bring you up to the ridge line. From there it is about a 1 km walk down through the field on an elevated boardwalk. Getting to the park very early is a good idea as in the late morning loads of school tours arrive. In fact this is the biggest problem with the park. The whole experience is extremely structured. It is obviously organized to cater to school and other group tours. Exploring the park on your own isn’t really possible.

  3. Their were some flowers visible, but because the wet season was late, only about 15% of the normal display was there. still its worth a visit to walk around and admire the view

  4. Well, I can say Chaiyaphum is not that famous for travelers, but Kra Jiao Flower Field is a must to go if you visit this province. 🙂 Breathtaking view.

  5. Not the typical (Dutch) tulip but this unique flowers are beautiful to see in bloom. I was there in cold and foggy weather on 2016 Mother’s Day (Queen’s birthday), which made it all the more enchanting. Somewhat long queues mean some wait time to take the trams or trucks to the top of the mountain (a 10 minute ride narrated but in Thai language only) but worth the wait. A bit of walking still required to get to the best lookout areas the see the valleys below (if not foggy or too cloudy) but very easy even for older folks. And always cool and breezy — a rarity in Thailand most any day anywhere!

  6. This flower field blooms in July and August with grass fields dotted with pink, purple and white Siamese tulips. We went on a 1 km boardwalk thru one of the best parts. There are also cultivated gardens at the entrance and around a section with rock formations. The flower field is part of Pa Hin Ngam National Park which also had some outstanding sandstone rock formations in another sectionBuggies will take you around the main attractions for a mere 30 baht but walking would be OK for the fit and hydrated as the distance is not that great. The time to go is July or August they tell me, We were there in mid August and 90% of the tulips were still in great condition. A wonderful attraction and well worth a visit in that time period. This is a 2 price attraction. foreigners are x 5 the Thai price which equates to 200 baht vs 40 baht. The sign is devious because the Thai prices are in non-Arabic numerals. Curiously.over 60’s are free
