  1. Having determined to see most sites in the ruined historical parks if not all, visiting this new building was a natural choice before that. Vast, 3-story halls depicting full of history about the ruins and culture, almost information overload!

  2. We went there because it was recommended. The interactivity is not given anymore. Most of the Button and Features were out of service. Nevertheless you can cool down and get a lot of Impressions of the History.

  3. We didn’t have a clear idea of what we were going to do during our stay in Ayutthaya but the staff here gave us lots of ideas and useful information which left us with a plan. Don’t miss the free exhibition on the first floor. It tells you all about Ayutthaya past and present. Much better than the National Museum across the road. Not all the audio video bits work but make sure you watch the video at the end of the hall.

  4. This huge building doesn’t contain much: It houses a small tourist office (even though the official tourist information is 200 metres on the road to the elephants) and the most beautiful national art museum, and of course a well air-conditioned hall explaining a lot about Ayutthaya. Both the museum and this hall are upstairs/ take off your shoes.

  5. Staff gave us help about our next stop Kanchanaburi as well as how to get there, came away with some useful maps. Exhibitions in the same building are worth seeing.

  6. We made the mistake of going to the museum near here, utter waste of time and expensive. Wish we had gone here first. The ladies in the tourist office gave us a great map of Ayutthaya and circled the must see places for us and then sent us upstairs to see a great exhibition and movie about the town.Make this your first stop to understand Ayutthaya!

  7. This should be your first stop. The staff are very helpful and have great English. There are excellent free maps. There is even a nice little free museum inside which is worth visiting.

  8. A good place for information and they have a very nice display of some Thai culture there. Nice wooden Thai boats and more.

  9. A very welcome place with useful information of Ayutthaya, We biked pass this place while we get lost than we went inside through the tat office the staff is really nice. They advised us a very good information and save time to finished for our trip without any benefits. We feel very thankful for them. Thank you 😉

  10. I always recommend going to the local information office when visiting a new city and this was no exception – an English speaking staffer to assist with maps and useful information that made our 3 day visit to Ayutthaya easier to plan – there is also a small museum and a contemporary art gallery in the same building – as an afterthought the air-conditioning was very welcome on a hot and humid day
