  1. The biggest wooden Buddha image in Thailand can be located in Wat Phrathat Mahachai, but unfortunately it is kept locked up and nobody can view it. However, the huge temple grounds are clean and peaceful, and is a pleasant place to stroll around and admire the various statues of temple ‘guardians’ around each wihan.
