I discovered this waterfall by accident while visiting Khun Nan National Park. The men at the park entrance told me how to get there. And what a fantastic spot! There are 4 or 5 tiers each larger than the last. None are huge and glorious on their own, but it was just the vibe of being in the forest with no sound but the water, the birds, and a few bull frogs. The greatest thing is in the 2 hours I was there, only saw 2 other couples, and no trash. Wonderfully clean. Like a prehistoric forest, with moss covered hanging vines, ferns, etc. Directions: from the turnoff to Khun Nan, continue north on Route 1081 for 1.8 km, turn right and follow the river for 2 km, turn right (there is a sign) and drive 200 m to the parking lot. GPS at the parking lot:19.1905610101.1988370There is a bathroom at the parking lot, not for the squeamish. Also a few small tables. From the parking lot, follow the path up stairs, down stairs, over the foot bridge, and so on. Perhaps 20 to 30 minutes easy walk to the top tier of the falls. Beautiful scenery all the way. I cannot recommend the trip to these waterfalls highly enough. Truly a hidden gem.
Heading north from Bo Kluea on 1081, about 10 kilometers out you will see a well paved road to your right that leads to the village of Sapan. Reaching the Sapan waterfalls, the trail to which starts at the car park on the right side of the highway, involves a lot of up and down and through the woods before you reach the lowest of the falls. Expect it to take 20 minutes at a steady pace in both directions.. The falls are not spectacular, but the trek gives you a good feel for just how green this part of Thailand really is.Sapan itself is one of the most serene villages in the province, and the scenery is simply spectacular. We spent an entire day here, and did not regret a minute of it.
Most of the trail has steps and a hand rail . It’s an uphill sweat on a hot day but nice views of the waterfalls

The Sapan waterfall stood out as a must-see attraction during our research.Upon arrival at the entrance, where street food and coffee carts line the area, visitors can also enjoy feeding fish in the river near the parking lodge. To reach the main waterfall, we must ascend a hill through the forest for about 20 minutes.Every time we think about the waterfall, the sound of nature greets us, calming our souls with its peaceful melody.Although Sapan Waterfall may be small in size, it never fails to evoke the same sense of wonder and tranquility within us.We find ourselves motivated to simply sit and enjoy the moment of the Sapan waterfall.
