Pang Sida National Park is perched on a picturesque hilltop overlooking Thailand
We live near aranyaprathet which is about an hour and half drive away. I went with my english mother and my Thai family. It’s good, it’s worth a viset. And would be very good for children as its kept so well and clean and safe. The only down side is you need to go the right time of year. The waterfall was more of a dribble when we went which was a shame but not really anyone’s fault. Just it apperantly is spectacular when the rainy season finishes or is nearly over this would be around October time. Still wandering through the park and woods with the clear water stream was lovely and we saw the butterflies although you need to go at certain times of the day to get the massive swarms. They supposedly have a bear there which you can cuddle with or get maulded to death by, either way we didn’t see him. It’s a good place and can’t really criticise it, just need to get your timings right for the full on effect 😊
This national park is part of the Unesco World Heritage site. Located not far from Sa Kaeo city which you can travel on the good road to get there. Two main attractions in this park are Pang Sida water fall and butterfly spotting area. For water fall it depends on the time of your visit whether it will have plenty of water or not. To meet lots of butterfly you need to visit in the sunny day in the morning. Entry fee will be charged, if you are over 60 you can get free entry.
Travelled here paid the cover charge to get in (200baht). Was well worth it. Would like to stay at a guest house or camp there next time and explore further.
A big National Park with beautiful landscape, mainly forests. There are lots of different species of butterflies attracted to the area. We stopped off for food and drink – a beautiful place to have a picnic as the sun was setting.
Killing a time on the weekend during I stay at Kabinburi, went to Pangsida national park with friend, around one and half hour drivingfrom Kantary hotel.Good place for take some photos of butterflies, for butterfly lover this place good option to visit, hundreds of butterflies with different species are there.Good option to do around Kabin buri or Sakeow area.Check out my insta @eddy_tan84 for more photos of butterflies.
One of Thailand’s really beautiful national parks… a slice of paradise and natural wonder. Good photos and memories
In the parc are 250 specimen of Butterflies. There are nice spotting places where they are pudding. A lot of butterfly enthousiastics went there.I had a pick up with a personal Ranger and Car from Aareya Resort. I visited the Parc during 10 days.
I made the mistake of visiting Pang Sida when the water was low.If you plan to visit the location, please make sure first that you visit at a time when the water level is high so that you will see the place in it’s full glory. The photos are from my visit and show the situation when water is low – nothing much to see.
Park is ok. Short downhill walk to waterfall. There was water flowing when we were there. Fairly peaceful apart from 2 groups of drunken young adults. Some nice butterflies and other insects. The bad taste was having to pay 200 Thb for being white skinned, whilst Thais only 40 Thb. I now avoid this 2 tier pricing system. My home country does not expect my wife to pay more for being Asian for similar attractions.
This is my first time to visit PangSida National Park especially Pang Sida Waterfall. It’s very nice attraction in Sakaew Province.I have been visited this area in Decemberthat is why there is not a lot of water reference to this period is winter not rainy season. There is fee 40 THB and if you have car, you will be charged more 30THB.Most people will be here around New Year Festival and also Songkran Festival. It is far from main road about 28 km.However, overall looks great. In the nearly future, I will be back for second time.See you!
