Trakarn zoo ubon is perched on a picturesque hilltop overlooking Headquarters at 234 rd game - T. Khulu Trakan Tue. Ubon 34130., Thailand
This is a small zoo with some tiger, monkey, civet cat. You can feed fish and there is a small playground for children and buffet. This zoo is on the road 2050, a few minutes with car or tuk-tuk south from Trakarn Phuetphon. I think this is not a good zoo but you can spend here easily 1 or 2 hours with children.
I been there three time already during the past years, almost nothing changed time to time. The place is right on the side road, no fuss, no big signboard, you just have to be careful if you’re driving. The main attraction of this place are the Tiger, in quite good number, from young ones to older and bigger ones, Tigers seem to be well feed and well take care, is not the case for the rest of the zoo, pathway are in dire condition, as well animals cage miss a lot of repair, it could be lack of money, because the entrance is very cheap for a zoo. Staff is friendly and snack are available on spot. The others animal are deer, buffalo, monkeys, birds, snakes etc.
This zoo is depressing and smelly, but please take a look, the animals need your help, without your entrance fee they don’t have food.
