Fashion Island is perched on a picturesque hilltop overlooking 587,589, 589/7-9 Ramintra Road , 10230, Thailand
During our holidays in Bangkok, we had visited this beautiful mall located just 8 km from the Safari World. The mall has multiple levels and is very big with posh stores from reputed international brands. The place had many upscale restaurants serving different types of international cuisine. We saw Indian shoe brand Bata showroom here. We ate meal at the KFC outlet in the mall, tried some freshly baked goodies at Gateaux House and enjoyed yummy ice creams at the Swensen’s restaurant.
We use this mall regularly as it’s near our house. Excellent range of shops and restaurants, cinema, leisure and fitness. They have good parking bays reserved for disabled people etc. The security guards there are very helpful and friendly to my disabled son.
located outskirt of Bangkok. We went here right after visiting Safari World and had lunch as there’s one stall at the food court selling Halal food. There’s also a small indoor amusement park for children as well.
First time I went to here, my impression with this mall was very large. All of things already in here, such as cinema, playground for children, supermarket, stores, food court, ice skating etc. If you like play Pokemon Go, this mall had a lot of poke stop. When I went to here didn’t have MRT but I think this year already build MRT. So you can check first MRT Line before go to this mall.
It was located at an outskirt, near to our hotel, Grand Fourwings Convention where we stayed. Not many taxis knew the way to this mall so it was better to ensure you have a Thai map with addresses. Our driver brought us in circles before reaching there. There were road constructions around so making the turns on highway seemed confusing, drivers made a few mistakes before turning into the taxi stand. The sheltered walkway had stall vendors selling foods so making the paths a little congested. Taxis queues outside the mall entrance alreadyformed early in the morning. We were here to attend an event. It was held on the 3rd floor, at the Island Hall. The signs & directions were not as clear as other malls. As it was a really big mall, we had a hard time finding the lifts. With our trolley bags of equipment, we needed to use the lifts but anyway, we used the escalators, to which the security officers, spoke no English, forbade us to use. We did walk around but still couldn’t find the lifts, we used the escalators instead. Even the shoppers told us to use. A kind lady whose sons were also attending the event, led us to the hall. If not for her, we would have been circling around the mall.There were many shops here but we didn’t have time to shop, even on the 3rd floor we were at. There was a Toy R Us here, however, the varieties were more for toddlers or younger kids. It was very neat. A nice stationery shop was selling all materials for arts & crafts. There was a money-changer kiosk just outside Island Hall, very convenient. We found a donut kiosks selling palatable donuts of many flavors & we liked the texture. We also patronized the KFC outlet at the ground level before heading out to the taxi stands. Taxis lined the streets so there wasn’t a lacking at all. A few lady staff helped to facilitate our booking, they were efficient. We had to show them where we wanted to go, preferably in Thai.For that messy constructions going on at the moment, I would think twice to go all the way there for shopping. Probably when everything was much settled down:))
We visited there twice last month to play at the famous Harborland indoor playground with our 2 boys, 8 and 11 years old. It is on 3rd floor near Major cineplex and has 3 zones, Harborland playground, Laser Battle laser tag arena and Rollerland skating rink. We played 4 hrs and it’s good because I could go to do some businesses at my bank and pay for nanny service to look for my boys. Lately it has Starbucks Coffee just opened so it’s very nice waiting for my kids here 🙂
I have to congratulate the management at Fashion Island for their parking initiative. It’s always been good with helpful, friendly security. But now they have one complete floor (first floor) dedicated for disabled people, old people, those with young children, pregnant ladies etc. Entrance to this floor is controlled with a guard. Parking bays are wide to accommodate wheel chairs, push chairs etc. Makes shopping so much more easy for us with my severely disabled son. Other malls, in Thailand and in other countries, ought to consider this excellent idea.
Fashion Island, met my in laws and friends there for lunch. Many restaurants to choose from and the cost is pretty good.Many stalls selling local Thai Food. Should visit there while in Bangkok.
We had lunch at Fashion Island after visiting the Fo Guang San Temple. The mall has good shops and good restaurants. The mall is beautiful. The parking is well maintained. We went to Home Pro hardware store.
We visited this mall complex to buy souvenirs, have lunch and walk over 3 miles not counting the 600m to get there. We used the back gate of our Raweewan Residence Hotel and walked to front of the Promenade Mall. On the 2nd floor, a nice hall connects it to the huge 30 acre Fashion Island mall. The Big C supermarket, Tops supermarket, ice rink, Harborland playland, 2 Cineplexes and the most restaurants we have ever seen made this a 4 hour visit.
