  1. This place is a resort plus adventure ground which kids would like. From Buriram it is about 30kms plus to the north. The activities are quite simple and our young kids enjoyed feeding the sheep, rock climbing and walking through the flora show. There was also a restaurant which seemed quite popular but we didn’t get the chance to try it out. Not a great attraction but ok to pass time outdoors if you have young kids.

  2. A Thai theme & swim park of sorts which is about 50 minutes from Buriram town. Don’t expect disneyland when you go there but its still a nice place to go relax & spend a day. There replicas of some famous landmarks, ie. eiffel tower, stonehenge etc so you can take photos, swimming pools & slides, restaurants & a lake for kayaking etc. I thought the best part of the park was the glasshouse tour where you can see many different types of plants/flowers in there natural conditions. There are no carnival rides as such like a western theme park. Entry costs about 200B to see all the park attractions.

  3. For those of you who have visited the Eden Project in Cornwall, England, you may feel Flora is similar. It has 5 zones that feature flowers and plants from different climates. There is also an experimental farm area where plants from different parts of the world are tried to see if it is possible to cultivate them in the Buriram climate. My favourites were the dragon fruit cactus. For those of you that like water – there is a large swimming pool area and fun park, which can be entered with a separate admission ticket or a combo ticket. My children aged 11 and 9 loved the slides and water activities, and the new inflatable maze.

  4. This is the second time myself and my wife have visited Play La Plaen, the first time we had a great time with so much to do…. This time however our experience was very different !! While my parents were visiting my wife and I in Nang Rong we decided to head to Play La Plaen, a 1 and half hour drive.. Upto arrival we paid our full access fee, walked into the park and to our amazement / disappointment all of the parks attractions were closed !! No one around, even the stalls to sell water were closed !!! – we then attended the water park, asked them if there were stalls inside to buy coffee or water to which we were promised there were – and again after paying 400 baht for admission we were let down, everything was closed inside !!! All of the parks main slides etc were deflated and closed !!! – we didn’t even bother putting on our swim suits, a whole day wasted !!! We left the park straight away and we will not be back !!! – such a shame !!

  5. A wide array of activity that can keep you busy for a couple of days. None of the stuff is top notch, but all of it is very entertaining family fun. They have a mini adventure park where there is a zip-line and a rope bridge that you have to climb a rope ladder to get to. They have a mini water park that has some awesome water slides. The flower park is one of the best I have seen. As a member of several different botanical gardens, this place has done a good job with an orchid section as well as some neat structures created out of flowers. The rooms are beautifully decorated with details that make you go “Oh wow!” Last but not least the breakfast buffet is the best I have ever experienced, second to none with its variety and quality. . It is definitely worth the extra cost!

  6. This is a great space for families or pre wedding photos. Check out the flower garden which will blow your mind for sure

  7. This place is a piece of art. Once you enter the resort, you see beautiful fresh flowers and plants all over the place, accompanied by beautiful artistic objects. It’s so refreshing. And then they have these botanical gardens, greenhouses with plants from all over the place. They have a small typical Thai village and an adventure camp with more adrenalin. All together, it’s great to pass a full day or spend the night at its resort. It’s extraordinary and a must-visit in Buriram!

  8. Loads to see and learn here. They have many different indoor gardens with all sorts of different plants . They also have put door bus tours that take you round the fields where they grow fruits ect. Would definitely recommend. But make sure you have enough time( about 2-4) hours . Lovely food just across the road too.

  9. There are various greenhouses with flowers which are ok, I was a bit disappointed with the insects exhibit as these are all dead and mounted in small cases. The children’s play area looked fun but we didnt walk round as there was lots of construction work taking place. There is a very nice shop/restaurant which is very similar to the ones in England. Entry price to the gardens was 150 baht each (about £3.50) and no special farang price, which is unusual.A relaxing way to spend 2-3 hours.

  10. Not far from Buriram, Play La Plaen is an attractively laid out series of gardens and Thai buildings reflecting past glories. Lovely displays of typically Thai plants add colour to your visit, and there are plenty of handicraft souvenirs on sale to remind you of your trip.
