เป็นวัดที่น่าสนใจในฐานะเป็นแหล่งรวบรวมคัมภีร์โบราณจำนวนมากที่สุดในโลกถึง 20000 ผูกซึ่งรวบรวมโดยครูบามหาเถรผู้มีชื่อเสียง
プレーの街へ行く約１５キロ手前、１０１号線沿い左側にあります。道路沿いの門が目立ったので立ち寄りました。何も分からずに入りました。SungMenサンメンの街の中です。お寺名は街の名前と同じで、正面に礼拝堂(BuddhaSection)、左側には新しい灰色に装飾されたお堂、右側に金色の立派な仏塔(KhrubaMahatheraPagoda)等があり、由緒あるお寺のようです。お寺では何か行事があるよ感じでした。礼拝堂では多くの僧侶が２グループとなり何かをやっていました。食事ではないと思いますが。地元の人もいました。そのため中には入らず入口から仏像を拝みました。地元の人のお寺のようで観光客はあまり来ないと思いますが、一部に英語表記があるため観光客が来るかもしれません。でもどういうお寺か分かりません。ただ仏塔の名になっている高僧KhrubaMahathenについて英語表記の説明書きがあり、このお寺の僧侶や他の有名なお寺の僧侶を勤めた等とあり偉い人だったようです。なお、正門と礼拝堂入口にハリネズミのような置物がありました。雨のため早々に切り上げましたが、他にも見るものがあったかもしれません。是非一度訪れて下さい。

プレーの市街地から西に20キロ程いった道路沿いにある由緒ある仏教寺院。スンメン病院の向かいにあり。この寺院の付近は木工を営む業者が多数軒を連ねており、プレー原産のチーク材を生かした家具類や小物の木工品の展示販売が盛んに行われている。
