As we paid the 200 THB to enter the park, the nice park ranger informed us that there were only 2 people beside us in the park. We met them about 1 km later as they were on their way back. And so we ended up having the trail, the views and the waterfall completely to ourselves. And we’re still awestruck about the silence and sounds, the smells, the mist and roaring waterfall. Would do the hike again anyday!
Remote and peaceful, don’t forget sturdy, reliable shoes or good leather boots. Very hungry mosquitos – don’t forget the repellent either !I just made a short visit there and would not have bothered to write a review based on few hours, when I saw the previous comment and it made me sad. There is no regular bus route which farang can easily use, hence transportation by private taxi for THB 300 seem to be a fairly normal price to pay for this service. Regular bus and minivan fares are very low in Thailand, a private transportation costs more and is not always the rip-off it’s said to be.
I am a local Thai. I met so many bird watchers. They were here for bird watching along the path to Krunching waterfall. It is a quiet place and beautiful atmosphere. Now there are more home stays and guest house available and also meals but they own by the locals who did not speak English and post it on internet. If somebody want to visit here and need information to visiting here you can email [email protected]
This place is really amazing and I loved it to go trekking there. We stayed a couple days and booked a bunglow over the National gov. park website. Our bungalow was ok and clean, too. The staff is cleaning every day the area. We haven´t seen tourists or local people around, therefore is this the place if you want to have some peace. At the end when we had to leave, we were looking for a transfer. There is nothing going “information from staff” but they offer us a taxi for 300 Baht.We paid the half to get from Krabi to Nakon Si T. and around 70 Baht close to the national park. There is no other way out > ripped off! If you guys like to get here, than make sure to have a cheap option to get out there! Enjoy your stay.
It is a very beautiful place, the waterfall is very high, the weather is cool and the atmosphere is shady. But the route to go is also very bumpy. Because you have to travel up the mountain. But if you are a challenge, you should come here.Because you will find a beautiful waterfall And the shady nature of the plants that surround the mountains.
