It’s a real good mall, which is enormously huge and connected to 2 other buildings that are also Malls. It has a nice swimming pool on the top which is worth a visit. All in all 5 stars, no need to go downtown to MBK Mall or something like this. This Mall has absolutely everything and it’s way cheaper than the downtown Malls.
Multi-level, multi shop, multi space, live animals and a water park to boot! This mall caters to most tastes.. noting from the crowds that passed through the mall, it is very busy on Saturdays and Sundays.. and I would recommend perhaps coming on a week day to enjoy a bit more peace and quiet.. The food court on the lowest / ground floor does certainly cater to almost any taste.. working on a card payment system that you need to purchase prior to paying for your meal. The movie house ( two of them) are on the top floor) more snack and sweet shops than you would be able to shake a sweet tooth at.. as with the standard mall layout.Kids entertainment – on the very top sectionDigital and electronics on the one floor downclothing, boutique, specialty shops further down.. at least 12 different gold shops.. more coffee shops restaurants and banks and more of the same.. parrots, fish and a river ferry nearby to get to and from the mall quickly if you do live near a water ferry somewhere else in BKK. I certainly went more than once and can suggest the same to any one else that is near Bangkapi, or a tired tourist that would like a reprieve from the constant heat and humidity.
The Mall Bangkapi is far out of downtown Bangkok, so it will not be a tourist spot, unless you are a mall junkie. If you are, then make the trip (by taxi, and not on weekends) because it is a huge mall with hundreds of shops, restaurants and a big food court. It spans 5 floors and and all shops from your favorite mall shop to many smaller independent shops all at much cheaper prices than downtown Bangkok. All the USA restaurant chains are located there along with many Thai themed restaurants. It has a huge Gourmet Market and a large selection of prepared food kiosks. If driving, there is a garage attached. The mall is exceptionally clean and well organized, but getting lost is possible due to its size. It is a good meeting point for friends that live in that area who may not feel comfortable coming into downtown Bangkok. We met friends there and was happy to see the mall, but most malls have what they do.
We’ve visited Bangkok many times and we’ve only visited the tourist mall ie. those next to the train lines. This mall will require a cab or grab ride, about 30 mins from siam square. Worth a visit if you’re into malls. Large and varied. A bit more local flavour. We spent about 5 hours there but still did not cover it all.
Compared to malls in the US this was a great mall. Compared to other big city Asian Malls it was ok. Definitely worth going to. Has pretty much everything you could imagine and good food options. It gets credit for not having the tourist draws like the other bigger malls in Bangkok making it not so crazy.
The mall is very large but not in the downtown. You can choose this mall as a day trip cos of being huge and various things can be seen.
The mall is located out of the city Bangkok. It is not easy to go for tourists. This is because BTS lines are not connected with it. It is a huge one.
This Mall is so big, you need a full day, to enjoy. It has everything for everyone. Countless cuisine offers, total shopping experience on any budget. Best for a rainy day, with inside open market.
This is my second review of The Mall Bangkapi. Since my first review they have done a complete and total restoration and remodeling of the mall. The appearance of the mall is of a modern mall that was built from the ground up although it was refurbished. Being refurbished the quality of the mall raised very extensively and I rate this as possibly the best shopping mall in Thailand. I have been in Thailand for 16 years and I highly highly recommend The Mall Bangkapi. Now there is a sky train going past the mall which is a great way to get there! The way I recommended before was the Klong San Saeb which offers low priced fast boats that can carry maybe 150 people and goes all the way into and through Bangkok. Many locations can be accessed by starting or using the boat system. Including the Chaophraya River in Bangkok. The mall has a newly completed water park on the roof. There is a waterfall inside the mall and kind of a tropical area for fish and birds in the center of the mall. They have one stingray that is wider than 1 meter, and fish that probably weigh 100 lb or more. They have an incredible large food court on the ground floor and many restaurants in the upper floors with some of them being higher end and an incredible variety. Miss mall is loaded with brand name products and a IT Mall that is loaded with everything. They also have any appliance and air conditioner that you would like. It is hard to describe how complete this mall is without going there yourself. Currently there is a new Subway system being built which will aid in getting to The Mall Bangkapi from more locations. There is lots of parking at the mall and a really good car wash that I have reviewed before. Please go and enjoy this unique, beautiful, large mall.
We drove to The Mall Lifestyle in Bangkapi in December. We had lunch there on Sunday. The mall was well decorated for Christmas. There are many shops and restaurants.
