  1. Not everyone will appreciate his place. I do because it is relatively unaffected by the changes to Thailand that are so difficult to describe if you have not lived here. It is not a tourist location but it has some natural qualities that are very enjoyable. There is some great accommodation bu he food is really not good.

  2. Well, long time ago my father came to Thailand as he was working in the Sirikit Dam project. This reservoir is now a lake, you can enjoy the view , taste some fresh fish (guess where it comes from?) and relax in the wide park and garden. It take about 75 minutes to get there from Uttaradit , but you can plan to spend half a day once there. Bring your hat, it’s sunny and hot in clear days.

  3. We travelled up to Sirikit Dam to play the golf course which is superb and really cheap. After playing we went up to the dam where there is a very nice restaurant and some beautiful views. Well worth the 40 minute journey from Uttaradit where we stayed.

  4. Sirikit Dam is named after the Queen of Thailand. It is built across the Nan River and the dam is 800 metres long. It is a nice place but was crowded with people when we visited. Apparently you can rent boats but I didn’t see any moving on the water.

  5. Beautiful view and you can have a lot fun in here. There are have more than 42 view and travel point🤗🤗🤗

  6. It is a great wonder to see. The name sake and the building of it it awesome. My piece of advice is to good during good weather because it is a lot of outside activities. And also wear some sun screen. The sun and heat will get to you quick

  7. We stayed at the accommodation at the Sirikit Dam for one night whilst driving through from Chiang Mai to Nan, main purpose was for golf at the course here. The nature park at the dam is very well maintained and peaceful. Accommodation was basic but very clean with good air con and WiFi. The bed and pillows very hard but for 750 thb a night, it’s perfect. Not much around in terms of eating places but the restaurant onsite was very good and cheap.

  8. Named after the former Thai queen, the dam is considered the biggest earthen dam of Thailand. Highlights include the view point on the dam crest and the yellow-blue hanging bridge across Nan river. From the dam crest, there is a nice scenery of an ample placid lake with green mountains background. Recommend to visit in the morning or in the evening to avoid heat of the midday.
