  1. Tham Blo Pla as it is locally known, is a small temple cave in the side of a limestone monolith 8 km North of Kaeng Khoi. It is also known as Tham Phra That Charoen after the adjoining Wat.You enter the Cave by climbing a wide stairway up 5 m, through a foyer and then down another curved wide stairway until you are at ground level again but just inside the mountain which towers about a 100 metres over. There are numerous stalactites and stalagmites, some beautifully coloured, and natural skylights. There are 2 main chambers, the first has a large golden seated Buddha, the second chamber is entered via a short, narrow natural tunnel , where you will find another smaller seated Buddha, and the Bo Pla ( natural fish pond) which is symbolic of Buddha’s Footprint. Both chambers are well litAddress : Ban Saphan Si, Mu 5 Tambon Thap Kwang, Amphoe Kaeng Khoi, Saraburi. GPS coordinates 14.653, 100.980. The Cave is not well signposted other than a sign on the front fence. It is only 2 km West from Wat Phuttabahat Noi, which is also well worth a visit and is sign posted.

  2. This attraction is just 23 kms south from downtown Lampang /driving to Ban fon junction then turn left in to well paved asphalt to the foot of the hill where the temple locates atop. The surroundings is limited space so limitation of visitors and cars to accede the parking lots on the top; if go in early morning and afternoon, there are shuttle service to take visitors to the temple. We went on late afternoon so got access by our car , there were thai E sarn architecture with main white stupa with golden top ; the temple is also acceded by foot via steps of ladder decorated with Naga balustrades. There is small shop selling iced/hot coffee and snacks. Go late in afternoon to avoid crowds of visitors and experience best view of sunset.

  3. This temple is not far from Lampang City, takes about 30 mins. to arrive. It is newest attraction to visit . Beautiful and peaceful temple. Not crowded with people. You can drive the car up to the mountain with 1 lane road with signal to go up and down .

  4. Not really temple; just business!Lots of staff to assist and talk to you, becoming boring; make you feel you have to pray and make a gift.Ok if you have time and money to lose

  5. After parking our vehicle, we spent the next 40 minutes sight-seeing the beautiful temple. This Lanna style temple has many wonderful decorations, whether it be Naga stairs, arched entrance, bas reliefs, or an elegant Japanese style Buddha statue (it was not complete at the time when we visited, what a pity). Visitor can also enjoy watching a panorama view of grassy landscape of Mae Tha. Moreover, there is a coffee shop to relax and have some drinks or buy some souvenirs. Don’t miss this place !

  6. THIS was a first for me since I had never been to this striking temple.Set on a hillside, the views from the top are simply beautiful with a river running through countryside laid out below. There are so many aspects to this site that it takes visitors a while to get round them all. There is a great Buddha figure, a temple with five buddhas in it and a bell with a wooden striker which can be swung to hit the bell.Visitors can work their way up steps to reach the great Buddha and then continue on to a viewpoint doorway where you can see for miles over countryside towards mountains. Finally visitors descend a dragon staircase down into the jungle below. This site does have many steps so I’d advise anyone going there to bear that in mind since it is not suitable for the disabled or anyone with mobility problems.Definitely worth a visit for anyone able to cope with the terrain and I’d come here again for the views alone.

  7. In the peaceful Lampang province, Thailand, we found the stunning and serene temple Wat Pra That Doi Pra Chan. This Buddhist temple, designed in Thai and Japanese architectural styles, located at the top of Doi Pra Chan mountain in Mae Tha, Lampang, offering visitors a breathtaking panoramic view from its elevated grounds. One of the temple’s highlights is a remarkable replica of the Great Buddha Daibutsu of Japan at the temple’s highest point. In addition to the beautiful religious sculptures, pagodas, and buildings, there are many nice spots perfect for photography enthusiasts, making every corner memorable for pictures.Accessing the temple can be done either via the Songthaew Shuttle Service or by the staircase, which is more difficult and challenging. Our visit left us feeling blessed, having experienced a sense of peace and tranquility within the temple’s sacred grounds.
