I’m here for a month volunteering, and the shelter is a fantastic place to visit if you love dogs, 99.9% of the dogs are friendly, some scared, dogs have plenty of free time out of their kennels, fed twice a day, they know their kennels, they know they’re safe, with plenty of love, and spotlessly clean, they get plenty of visitors bringing donations of food, towels, bedding for the dogs, you can interact with the dogs, the staff are very friendly and helpful and encourage you to interact with the dogs, all dogs have, and know their name.I’ve visited some horrendous public and private shelters around the world, this is 5 star, in a nutshell, although I try and not put my own animals in a shelter, I certainly would here if they were boarding kennels. Plan a few hours of your holiday to come and visit, nothing to hide, it’s fully transparent to how donations are spent, not just on the dogs inside, without any government help, they treat dogs in the outlying villages to, I’ve had that experience also, like any charity, it’s a uphill struggle with funds, donate when you can, I know how money is being spent. I’ll be back in the future, hopefully with my nephew, a 10 year old who will be the next generation animal advocate.
Best dog kennel in the world ! They really care ! If you want to help please bring food to Hope For Strays Foundation and you will be a better person !
A very nice place for stray dogs to be taken care of. Hard working people that work here and have passion for the dogs! We got introduced to many of the dogs and got to pet them and stat with them and help feeding them.
They do such a amazing job with all the dogs with such little money, it is a must visit , it will definitely give you hope of what they do. That there is beautiful people that there love for animals are saving lives
Just remarkable to see how their system works. Having over 330 feral dogs I can’t imagine the effort that these folks put I to making their place a home for these dogs. The dogs are cared for, fed and even bathed. It’s unbelievable how much love go’s into this. Amazing ❤The best way you could help is to adopt one these doglets. There are so many and they all need effection on some level.
I came to this shelter to visit the dogs and donate some supplies while here on vacation and it was AMAZING. This shelter houses many many dogs and does a lot with the little they have. All off their dogs eat 100-120kg of food a day, which is A LOT. If you are here in Thailand, please consider donating to this shelter. They need food and blankets desperately for all their babies. They are such nice kind hearted people to take in these animals – many were found hit by a car, injured severely or abandoned. They rescued all of them. The dogs are all friendly and sweet, they love getting attention from people! Please donate, visit and consider adopting one of these sweet souls.
