  1. It’s popular temple in Muang Angthong. The temple is old and ancient. There is no roof. The root of big tree covers the temple. It’s amazing. There’re Buddha inside and it’s the holy objects that Thai people respect.

  2. The ancient temple of the rabbit temple, originally called “Saam katai temple (Saam mean three. Katai mean rabbit”, but has been called the wrong one until it became a Sang Katai temple. The temple was deserted, nobody left dilapidated roof, walls, almost in ruins, but there are Banyan trees cover the temple. this is the great image created by natural creation. The beauty of this temple. People started to pay more attention to the temple. The Fine Arts Department has instructed staff to collect information. Prepare to register as a new archaeological site with a focus on preserving the ancient art of natural beauty

  3. Nice and quiet, very ancient and not one of the mainstream temples. Interesting to visit if you pass by, but too small to intentionally come visit.

  4. Unseen/Hidden gems of Ang Thong province, Wat Sung-Kra-Tai is an ancient buddhist temple ruin dated back to the early Ayudhaya dynasty some 400 years ago. The prominent characteristic made this temple worth visited is the 4 Banyan three which their roots have grown all over the hall and 4 sides of temple walls serving as a pile to uphold the wall from falling down. Also the branches and leaves of banyan trees providing shades from sun and rain for the hall/church as it’s roof has fallen down and the Buddhist image in the hall are laying unprotected from rain and sun for who knows how long; resembling “Prasart Ta Thom” in Cambodia well known for the root of the tree which cover parts of the wall of the temple itself. It is located just 10 minutes drive, 5 miles (7+ km) from the city hall just still in the vicinity of Ang Thong city. There are 3 halls in the temple. The first hall is located the Buddha image called “Luang-phor Kaen”, the second hall holder 3 large Buddha image so called “Luang Photo Sri” meaning good deeds. The second Buddha image is called “luang Photo Wandee”meaning a good day.and the third BI called “All the happiness ” when reading all the three Buddha image title it means be happy and prosperouswill be to those who visit and pay respect to the Buddha images. The 3rd hall are located the seven serpents, and the bhrams called ” Soam” very weinterestin yet worth visit. I strongly recommended.

  5. The temple is ancient and unique but small. We spent about 30 minutes at the temple. There are a tree at each corner of the building.

  6. If you are in Ang Thong City on your way to Wat Muang this is really worth a stop – this is the small roofless ruins of a ancient Buddhist temple encased in the roots of the Bunyan trees that surround it – off the beaten track it is a quiet and peaceful place away from the crowds.
