  1. a short drop after beach so nice with animal and turtle. to see something different but lovely. easy to go a bit out of town but still nature around.highly recomment to all friend.

  2. £1 to get in..The aquarium is very cheap to get in, there is lots of fish to look at, also there is a seal show which is worth watching. Would recommend.

  3. When you visit this aquarium, you do so to see the local collection of saltwater and freshwater fishes. Do not expect to see a glamour showy aquarium that has proportionately high entrance fees. For 50baht it is well worth going. They have mostly indigenous fish species here, so it is quite educational. It is well worth waiting for the seal show to start. On weekdays it is from 10:30am and 2:30pm. Weekends and public holidays additional shows are 11:30am and 3:30pm.

  4. The aquarium itself looks a bit too dark but all fish are brilliant. My kids love seal show very much even on the rainy day, they can still manage to put the show up. The beach beside is gorgeous too.

  5. The Aquarium is set in beautiful grounds, which are all pare of a University which includes Marine Studies as well as Ecological Tourism. There are beautiful beaches very close by, and wonderful statues scattered around the grounds. That school children come here for tours, as do anyone else caring to visit this beautiful part of the world. In close proximity to Pak Meng

  6. We decided to visit Rajamangkala Aquarium which is part of Rajamangala University of Technology when we are on route from Krabi to Trang After reading some reviews, our expectations were not great The surrounding is quite well maintained with a nice lotus plant lake and a nice blue colored ‘lighthouse’ in the background. The beach is just a couple of min walk away Onto the aquarium tank, it is not that well maintained. The glasses are partially covered with algae and grime making the fish exhibit a little un-attractive Saved for a couple of large enclosures, most of the tanks (aquariums) are small. Pity the larger fish in the smaller tanks. It’s like water cage than an attractive artificial habitat show-caseThe air-conditioning is maybe 30% on with lots of split units not turned on. Not unbearable but could be nicer if air is cooler. Unfortunately, the timing is not correct for us to see the seal show. Pity PLUS: Very decent 50B entrance for all (both local and foreigners) Free ample park anywhere Live Seal show (we didn’t get to see however) MINUS:The tanks could be better maintained Air-conditioning could be better A big outdoor giant tank but the water + glass is so dirty that we could barely see anything … however, our patience paid off with a quick but murky glimpse of the star in the tank .. the sea turtle swim past by

  7. Visited the aquarium one afternoon. The fish in aquarium were interesting and good variety. The seal show was brilliant considering only paid a £1 to enter. Well worth spending a afternoon here.

  8. I didn’t have much expectation when my husband suggested visiting the aquarium. It was excellent. Very well kept and the seal show was great.

  9. Generally the aquarium itself is quite well maintained. Plenty of freshwater and marine life on display many with English descriptions. As you enter you see a few tatty stuffed specimens that have seen better days. There are some outside exhibits that seem to be falling into disrepair. We thought the turtle pool was being renovated until we saw a flipper.

  10. We visited this aquarium on a Thursday morning. Don´t expect a huge fish tank filled with all kinds of fish. This aquarium shows mainly small fish tanks, many of them showing only one (kind of) fish per fish tank. When we visited they just started with a sea lions show in a pool situated on the terrain behind the main building. The fee to enter the aquarium was only 50 baht p.p. for Thai people as well as for foreigners, Children are free to enter. And no extra costs for the sea lions show. At the end of the show, they ask for a donation to buy fish for the sea lions etc. Visitors are asked then to throw some (paper) money in the pool. The sea lions collect the money.Next to the main building there is also a restaurant situatied, however when we visited, tis was closed.

  11. Full of small fish tanks. Keep your expectations low and this will be a fun place to visit. Highlights seem to be the catfish, albino fish and holographic displays on the dugong.
