  1. I was pleasantly surprised how clean the whole area was.Entry fee is 20 Baht for Thais, 200 Baht for foreigners. For the first time in 16 years, I felt 200 Baht was ok. I have paid 400 Baht in other places and will never visit them again. The whole area is well looked after. Numerous rubbish bins are available.A short walk from the car park brings you to the picnic area. Plenty of tables and chairs, overlooking a few nice pools that are safe for children to play in.From here you may only take water and clothing, cameras etc. No food or alcohol is allowed. There is an office where you can leave bags, for collection on your return. The path following the river is well maintained. If it’s raining, care should be taken when climbing the stone steps.I would recomend good sandles or training shoes/ lightweight walking shoes. Most of staff were friendly and helpful, some also spoke English. The whole route is well sign posted in Thai and English. There are safety warnings, where required and safety equipment is kept at various points along the path.I won’t bang on about the duel pricing, but when I tried to negotiate in Thai, at the entrance, the responces was grumpy to say the least. Despite this, I will go back and will pay the 200 Baht.

  2. There are 8 levels of waterfalls, the first one is very easy to get to, and each next level a bit more difficult to reach. Bring swim wear, each level has opportunities for a fresh dip. Hiking sandals recommend, although local people run up and down on flip flops. Beware of (a few) leeches, (seem to be seen at highest level mainly and when its wet) they are harmless but can cause bleeding for a while. Park staff is kind and helpfull with plasters and stuff. On public holidays, go a bit early to beat the crowds or enjoy watching extended families coming for a picknick. Sanuk sanuk

  3. Entrance ฿200, Thais ฿40, Car parking ฿30.Despite a fairly long journey, and paying five fold the locals’ tariff (non negotiable), and when you get there, a hike and a half, this place is worth a visit, just for the swim with the fish at level 3.It is one of the few National Parks that is genuinely looked after by caring employees and soldiers.Believe it or not, it’s free of litter and has the lovely feeling of nature. On the down side it’s about forty minutes of hard climb (there are, however, smaller falls on the way).At weekends try to get there at opening or as early as possible, as it starts getting busy at 11.Accommodation is available. This is my second visit: next time I’ll go to the top (if I can raise the energy).

  4. Pretty far away but worth visiting if you want to swim in refreshing water with fish (probably nobody else will be there at least on Mon-Fri). There are 8 levels and the 4th is worth the walk/climb and by then you really are ready to dive into the cool water. There aren’t any shops near so be prepared and wear good shoes and bring at least something to drink with you (+ food that you can give to the fish; it’s pretty fun to see them come and eat from your hand). Entrance fee was about 220bt (2 persons + scooter). We would definately go there again.

  5. We took a run out to Chamao Waterfall today. It’s my fourth or fifth visit here over the years, and, unfortunately, my septuagenarian knees are telling me to use extra care in the rain, when the rocks are very slippery. The entrance fee here is dual-price: Thais ฿40, ‘farangs’ ฿200 (or 100 if you beat them down) and the park is maintained to a pretty high standard (courtesy of free navy conscripts labour) with a generous car park, from where you start your track upwards.Personally, my tribe makes for a swimming area called วังมรกต, or the Emerald Pool, although you pass three or four alternative swimming areas on route.Any rate, this Emerald is a walk a touch over one km., which doesn’t sound much, but suffice it to say, the journey back is far easier than the journey down.Once there, the water is bracing and the fish which love to nip at your feet plenteous. There’s a picnic area at base or at the start of the ascent, and thereafter food is not allowed.I would recommend getting here at opening time (9AM) before the crowds of Thais and whilst it’s not too hot and humid.Time allowing, when you’ve finished here, it’s pleasant to go to Sunthorn Poo memorial park and for a swim at Laem Pim Beach.

  6. Went there with friends and was not disappointed. The trip from Pattaya is about 2 hours by car and the roads are pretty good. Once u get there make sure you wear sports shoes because you will walk over rocks and roots all the way up. We climbed to the last level but then went down one level where we decided the pool of water was worth a dip. And it really really was. Tired and sweating we plunged into the cool water for an experience out of this world. Highly recommended but only if you are fit enough to climb about 2,000 meters up. Not for everyone.

  7. I would recommend that you go early in morning because humidity is intense. Wear good walking shoes, bring loads of drinking water and camera to take photos. Road from Kleang is very good after 1st mile. Well signposted 18kms from left turn after tesco lotus in kleang. 200 baht entrance fee for foreigner 60 baht for thai person. 7 levels to place, first three no problem but after that become harder and strenuous. Pulling on ropes etc. Beautiful spot many exotic plants, many fish and the odd snake. Cannot bring food into park check your bag and count how many plastic bottles you take in. Have to sign in sign out. Park closes at 4pm. Could only make to level 6 exhausted. Do not attempt to go here in wet weather slippery rocks and tree roots. But overall a great adventure.

  8. We walked to the fish pond on the second level of the waterfalls in 30 minutes. It is about 600 meters to the second level. We spent about two hours at the waterfall. There are 7 levels.

  9. Visited here need to fit . Need to go early in morning it gets hot later in day. Bring good trainers for feet need to have .First four levels no problem but then it gets physical. Especially last level seventh section. Pulling yourself up on ropes. Lovely spot thought recommended
