  1. The museum is reasonably interesting in housing local paraphernalia. Its ok, as in Satun town there is hardly anything else worth a visit. However, the museum staff is extremely annoying: during my visit (I was the only visitor) I was followed closely, in every single room, by an intrusive museum member of staff. They were clearly concerned that I could stole something !!! The most unpleasant and annoying museum experience I ever had. They clearly never heard of CCTV cameras, alarms and locked cabinets. Hardly surprising, from one of the most backward provinces of Thailand.

  2. The museum was not quite visible from the main road as there was no signage pointing towards the museum. The building was built by Phraya Phuminatphakdi, (Tengku Kudin of Kedah). the former governor of Satun in 1902 as his residence (Malay: Ku Den Mansion/Istana Tengku Kudin). A small admission fees of 50baht is apply. Opening hours: 9am-4pmGood place to visit if you like history.

  3. It is a small museum that tells you about Satun. You can cover the museum in 1 hour. It’s a beautiful wooden house with a beautiful garden. You can understand the history of Satun and their livelihood…customs, weapon, dining ware, clothes, furniture, etc

  4. This is the National Museum of Satun. There are some interesting exhibits about Satun history and culture. It is housed in a beautiful building that is more than 100 years old. Entrance fee is 50THB. Staff were very friendly. If you are in Satun don’t miss it. I enjoyed visiting this museum.

  5. Small Museum but full of information on the history of Satun, Doesnt taken so long time to finish visiting the whole museum. I love the building, its a lovely wooden house. Nice also to take photo outside the museum. The surrounding is beautiful with a mountain view beside the museum.
