  1. The birds can fly, but the giraffe, the zebra, the lion, the tiger and other wild animals don’t belong behind the fences. It was most frustrating to see how stressed the tigers were. Don’t support, stay away!

  2. Real nice zoo. We started with an tour by the bus but choose to rent an golf car afterwards to be able to stop where we wanted. 300 baht/hour and 2 hours may be enough. Zoo is growing, construction along the way. They also had a seal show but we didn’t stay for that. Well worth the money and I can absolutely go again in some year. I get the feeling of Jurassic Park during the visit 🙂

  3. We went for bouldering/rock climbing… but the zoo quite a large space for animals. It’s one of the zoo that you don’t really feel sad to see animals in captivities. The water park is decent as well.

  4. The worse zoo ive ever been to someone said the birds can fly but the ones i saw were in a 6ft x 6ft cage cant fly far in a cage soo small especially with 6 other parrots inside as for the cats lions and tigers their compound was no bigger than my garden which is tiny i felt so sorry for all the animals, stay well away from this place if your an animal lover

  5. We went here as a family, my 2 year old nephew loves animals so this was (or wasn’t) a great opportunity to let him see them first hand instead of in a book. The entry fee here is very reasonable and the parking has now been tarmacced so entry is nice and simple. The problem here is the lack of animals, many of them are in poor surroundings and often they are alone. Lots of the exhibits are completely empty and whoever thought of using Shera on the walkways was quite stupid, it’s broken in lots of places leaving huge holes that people can fall through. It was quite sad to see that nothing has been done to the hippo enclosure since the last time we visited, they still can’t submerge anywhere the depth they need to, they have to lay in direct sunlight, really not suitable. On the upside, the deer enclosure is much improved, they have lots of water and ample food.

  6. Nice place to take the family, just be prepared for the heat its extremely hot, we used the golf cart to get around would suggest that , all in all a good day.

  7. While visiting friends went to this zoo for the second time. The place is at khoa Suan kwang, 50 km from Khon kaen city. For thailand this is a very nice zoo. The animals mostly have enough space. You can go around walking, tour car or rent a golf cart. There are also shows at times. Fun for a 4 yo.Included in the ticket is entrance to a big swimming pool, nice to relax.

  8. Went here with our 1.5 year old boy, the entrance is grand and the entry price is reasonable (more for a foreigner). We opted to rent a golf buggy (500 baht for 2 hours) as to be honest the zoo is spread out over a huge hilly terrain, walking it is possible and would take nearly the full day, but the option of the golf buggy seemed a better option and it was with the heat! They also have a hop on hop off tram like service if you don’t want to rent the buggy.Plenty to see, and the majority of the animals have space and look well.Like mentioned previously, there is a lot of deer in this zoo.. We didn’t get to go to the water park this time but we will next time!

  9. I visited the zoo in May 2023. It is in the north of the city. It is great for younger chilren. The animals seem well treated. You should ride the cart around the zoos it is on a hill. I think the zoo in Chiang Mai is a better choice

  10. Nice place for activities with family and friends. A lot of animals are in open location, some of them are easy to access to or sit close to. Very good place to take photo and keep memory.
