  1. This is a must visit place if you ever come across to Chachengsao province. A lot of beautiful statues here to see.

  2. The giant pink lotus on the river is floating Utena (cushion) of the Budha. Visitors can walk around it (with bare feet), also there is a river boat cruise passing nearby. Boat costs only TBH40 and cruise from the temple pier to the river barrier. Cruising time is 20 minutes and can also see the birds, local fisher man throwing the fishing net.

  3. It was an interesting journey to Chahoengsao. We took the diesal train which has no aircon, and the journey was about 1.5hrs from BKK, Hua Lamphong Railway Station. From Chachoengsao station, we took “songthaew” mini bus all for ourselves and the journey towards the beautiful Wat Saman Rattanaram took quite sometime.. perhaps 1.5hrs? Oh well, the place was so huge… and the weather changing from good to bad.. we kinda rush walking here and there snapping pics for memory. If love photography, this place may be a good place for nice photoshooting, provided it’s a good weather. By the time we left the place back to Chachoengsao Station, it was pouring so heavily. And since we took “songthaew” we ended being wet. Hahaha… Check out the place, and see it to yourselves to like it.

  4. I remember as a kid playing on the beach with a bucket and spade building sandcastles, sometimes with the help of my Mum, who in retrospect I now realise was as bad a sand castle architect as me.Chachoengsao Sand Castle was established to celebrate the 80th birthday of the late King, Bhumibol Adulyadej., who died in 2016.It comprises huge sand statues created by more than 70 sculptors from around the world, including from The Netherlands, Belgium, Ireland and the United States, Czechoslovakia and, of course, Thailand. The sand sculptures are divided into section, including those of King Bhumibol, Thai history, and international contributions, which include the Eiffel Tower and the Statue of Liberty.I had been running around Chachoengsao taking photographs of other attractions, that by the time I reached Sand Castle my batteries had run out, so unfortunately I have none to contribute myself.

  5. Make sure you walk around 3x This is located within Wat Saman Rattanaram which is about 90mins drive from Bangkok and also where the largest Lying Ganesh (pink elephant) is. Great temple, you could spend all day here. Also a market, lots of food, drinks, vendors. Bring lots of 1-5baht coins. Prepare for it to be hot, but you must be dressed/covered appropriately, it’s still a temple.
