  1. First time I visited an Museum in Thailand and the National Museum Prachinburi, is an outstanding place to visit to see the history, when I was there I had a very nice lady who could speak extremely good English and I understood all of what this young lady say about the relevant histories of artefacts within the Museum. This young lady spent quite a long time explaining in great detail the many aspects of the artefacts, it certainly was a great day visiting this Museum, my sincere thank you to the young lady with great English and staff at the Museum.Kindest Regards Michael

  2. the great precious of small historical museum which has collected the valuable collections such as the old ancient period Khmer art lintels and statues.highly recommended, worth for visiting place. currently, some part of the museum has under renovation process and it would completed around 2019.

  3. This museum has just been extensively renovated a few months ago.On the way back to Bangkok, we dropped by to see the place.Once inside, the staff showed us a short video introducing brief history of the surrounding area. The designs of each display were very good, using expensive no-glare glass and good dark background so the displays really stood out.The lintels, found in the area (of present-day Sa Kaew Province which used to be part of Prachinburi Province) and masterpieces on their own, were prominently displayed. When they were discovered, I was told, archaeologists were puzzled by their designs which had never seen anywhere else. Only when Sambor Prei Kuk Complex was found, did they realize these lintels were of the same style.Museum staff were very active and highly knowledgeable. They clearly loved their works and even helped suggest us to visit other places in the area and around Thailand.

  4. The museum was closed due to a major renovation of the entrance. According to the schedule will be reopened in November. However, the museum will be closed on Monday and Tuesday. Will have to come back.

Development Hall of Communities and Ancient Cities in the East Showcases the development of communities and ancient cities, starting from the relationship with the land of the sea, to the adoption period of ancient Tibetan culture and ancient Khmer culture in the East.Ancient artifacts found include the tombs after the Pink Castle, after the Goktham Castle, as well as the inscriptions found from both castles. 4.
