  1. Wasn’t expecting much but was pleasantly surprised upon visiting this beautiful wooden temple right opposite the beach. Inside there are a selection of white Buddha sculptures. I have visited a number of temples in Thailand and found this to be quite unique being made of wood and it’s location. The temple is a little out of the way so you’ll probably need a car to visit and I don’t know of any tours that visit this location.

  2. Like others, I stumbled across this temple while on a Sunday drive. For lovers of timber work and craftsmanship, this is a must see. Other then the marble entrances and steps, the temple is 100% timber with beautiful carved window shutters (no glass to be seen). A new temple has recently been completed on the same grounds and it also has the timber theme and a must see.

  3. Great guide who made visit enjoyable and the place was beautiful. Situated on a busy highway but very quiet and peaceful.

  4. This Temple was not on our list to visit but noticed it while travelling around. The building is a craftsman’s delight, intricate carving and workmanship a true gem.If you are passing by and happen to see it, give it a go!

  5. This was not on our list, and I am really glad we’ve found this temple. A Really beautiful temple located by the sea, very tranquil and the craftsmanship of the whole temple is stunning. This temple made by teakwood, I’ve been told by the local. This is a very unique temple, as this temple made of teakwood and located by the sea. I personally think this is the most beautiful temple without overdoing anything. If you have a bit of time, this temple is worth visiting.

  6. What a surprising find. A large complex of buildings, some but not all open to the public. Situated alongside the beach with jungle-type features all around. Adjacent beachfront to be open for overnight camping as well.

  7. This is peaceful teak wood chapel located on the beach. Buddha sculptures are onset of altar table. Windows are carved wood of buddhism history.

  8. While travelling around Khao Lak our driver suggested visiting this temple, and what a pleasant surprise it turned out to be.Located among the beauty of the pine forest and adjacent to the white sands of BanTa-Tang beach. This stunning seaside temple on the Andaman coast is made entirely from teak wood. The delicate carvings on the window panels depict Buddhism history. While the white jade Buddha portrays the first sermon. “Posture of preaching”.Started in 2010 and styled from the Arunyawasri Temple in Nongkai, this wooden temple took 4 years to complete. The gentle sea breeze creates a calming and serene atmosphere. An exquisite masterpiece of Thai style architecture.Worth a visit
