  1. From Kong Kaen this was a nice morning trip. The temple is small but well preserved. We did not spend a lot of time there but it was a good visit if you have time.

  2. This is a absolutely amazing site and the view is absolutely spectacular. It really does help you understand the history & culture of the region.

  3. There is nothing comparing Phimai Historical Park. I’d drown approx 85km for see it, but there is only one building, 10 minutes walk around and that’s all. Don’t waste your time.

  4. It is the biggest Sanctuary in the upper Northeast, but is small if you compare with Phimai or Phanom Rung. Take about 1 hour drive from Khon Kaen City on a good road. Would recommend you to combine with other destinations. It is free of charge, not much information available on site. If you have problem finding the site, it is next door to Pueai Noi Police station.

  5. I had Ankor Wat on my bucket list but was put off by the Cambodian border palava. This gem is it’s sister and is orientated to face it. Impressive structures and plenty to see in a day vist

  6. Fully recommend this to the genuine history buff. The tourist history buff will feel let down due to the physical size of the ruins. I found it very easy to locate Fully recommend to any person who has a love for history

  7. The compound comprises three brick buildings on the same laterite base. All facing the East, each pagoda has a sandstone lintel with designs. A laterite wall surround the compound and there is a moat just beyond it which covers 2 sides of the structure.

  8. I think this place is claimed to be the oldest Khmer-style ruins in the upper northeastern part of Thailand.

  9. Is quite far from Korat Town or main highway. Beautiful building and surrounding but it’s a small complex. If you have additional days for vacation should be ok to visit, at 4 pm I couldn’t find anyone who can even we approach on how to enter.
