  1. We rode our scooters from Lopburi to this temple along the busy freeway so we were a bit frazzled and hot by the time we got here, about 20km from Lopburi, about half an hr on our scooters. The temple is set in a beautiful setting with cool gardens and a very impressive entrance. It is obviously a very special place for Thai people as there were a lot of people there, which added to the whole ambience of the place. The giant Buddha footprint is inside a very impressive Wat. The grounds and temple are beautifully maintained. There are lots of stalls and good toilet facilities. Combine with a trip to the nearby lake and peacock temple on the way back to Lopburi.

  2. Yesterday (July 31, 2015) was the last day of the annual “Tak Bat Dok Mai” festival fow which the Wat is most famous nationwide. It took almost 1 hr to squeeze my car into one of the “free parking lots” arranged by the organizer, which however proved to be located pretty far from the Wat’s main venue – almost 1km walking was required. In that way, the festival was packed by lots of merit-making people, w/everyone carrying the trademark white & yellow flowers to offer to the parading monks and the flower-clad Buddha image mount. The people’s enthusiasm was of the most impressive kind, among anything I’ve ever experienced in my 13-year stay in Thailand.

  3. Just only the main Mondop, Same as in Grand palace is valuable to drop here. Phra Phutthabat temple was built in 1624 (B.E. 2168) by King Songtham of Ayutthaya, after a hunter named Pram Bun found a large depression in the stone, resembling a huge footprint. This temple is the 1 of 6 great royal temple of Thailand. the biggest festival is in July for “Flower and Candle offer for Buddhist lend”

  4. Here have a thai traditional massage, look very interesting but we don’t have time, and inside the temple quite clean.

  5. The temple is between Saraburi and Lopburi.A very impressive temple contains a Buddha footprint.Another temple contains a metal elephant alongside which people kneel and pray. It is worth asking locals what they are doing.I am so pleased that I made the journey to this temple.

  6. It’s a great peaceful place within an easy drive from Saraburi town and it’s not too crowded even on the weekend. If you don’t have a car you could get a tour that takes in a few places in a day, including somewhere like Wat Phra Phuttachai which is even nearer to Saraburi town.

  7. Meaningful and famous temple for Buddhist in Thailand. Nice place and beautiful Thai-Buddhism art for the architecture and wall paint inside. Worth a visit if coming to this area.

  8. Nice and beautiful architecture. Quite place. And have souvenir shop ,the road from main road have 4 len it”s amazing.

  9. The temple is beautiful, nice, clean, well maintained. We donated money to the temple. It was quiet when we visited on Wednesday.

  10. Spectacular place. Very clean and beautiful.Extremely hot and very busy all the time. The Thai people are friendly and welcoming. You need to remember to respect the culture at all times.
