Some will say that the beaches in Koh Jum are rocky, well I will say that a beach that is empty of rocks, shells and fish is boring. Wear rubber shoes and you will be fine. I loved the natural, quiet, beauty of Koh Jum.
this the best traditional Thai resort on the Island. Bamboo bunglalows. tree house. And a sauna on the beach Sen and Toy who own and run this laid back resort, are keeping it real. Clean and simple bungalows, great food, and the coolest beach bar.
Luboa beach is lovely beach, crowd free but at it’s best when the tide comes – morning to approx 2pm. After the tide goes out, it’s full of rocks and is barely swimmable. Luboa beach and the accommodation and eating/ drinking options are friendly and welcoming but very basic. If you’re looking for sophistication, luxury and fine dining, Do Not come to stay at Luboa. If you’re after a beach stay that’s away from the crowds with simple but tasty and hospitable options, then this place will work. Backpackers and those after an affordable no frills holiday without the creature comforts of city living will love it here.
Great spot to do a kayak tour to the smaller island close to the beach or along the beach. Clear water.
The beach was a nice change from busy areas like Ao Nang. Very few people, no beach sellers, a few quiet places to eat and get a beer, that were very expensive. We had a bike we had brought over from the mainland and drove there, it didn’t take long as the island isn’t big.
we stayed one week at luboa beach, because we had our resort there. the beach was very quiet and there were only a few guests around. luboa beach is isolated from the rest of the island, because the last few kilometer of the island road is not plained and specially after a rainshower driving is dangerous…also at night. the last part of the road is in a realy bad condition and so the guests who are located at luboa beach are for themselves after sunset.the beach itself slopes gently to the sea, but swimming is only possible during high tide. big rocks are spreaded partly and only at the southend theres a small part which allows to gon for a refreshment into the water during low tide. the water is clear if theres no wind. we can recomment luboa beach very much. we had a realy great time there. the week we stayed there was without question one of the nicest locations we had during our trip thru thailand this year. when we are back next time we will go to luboa beach again.some resorts are located at luboa beach. they have restaurants, about the quality of the food and drinks we cannot give any information, because the restaurant at our resort was so good that we went to have our meals there.luboa beach is beautiful for watching the sunset…. we had breathtaking and colourful ones nearly every evening. the sunset is over the area from koh phi phi to mosquito island…it depends on the position on the beach.
Out of season and raining, all I can hear is the sound of birds and waves. The sand is gorgeous. The land beautiful. I hope when season swings back in that the owners of the beach front properties organise a clean up. Lots of rubbish swept in by the sea, and plenty left over bottles that need to be dealt with.
We stopped by here at the end of a moped ride to the north of Ko Jum. You have to go past the paved road and keep going down the dirt road to get here. There are a couple of bungalows here with bars and restaurants. We stopped at LuBoa huts for a really great coffee. The beach is probably the nicest on a Ko Jum, soft sand, a few large rocks jutting out and a wide expanse to walk. The sea around here was also clear and blue. What’s not to love?!
Great beach, clear water, not much people.Some nice restaurants with good food and nice service. The last part of the road is dirtroad but not any problem, unless it rains i guess
Really cosy place, mainly because of the comfy coffee tables and pillows around. Served an espresso coffee here, not nescafe. Amazing Meang Cum! An absolute must try.
